As in, this voice is an amalgamation of a bunch of Vedrfolnirs, all originating from those "fates that won't come to pass" that make up the Abyss, using Vedr's Blasphemy against Time to transcend the differing timelines.

Now, for the fun headcanon part, if we consider the voice's role in the Fall of Khaenri'ah, where it actively helped in the corruption of the Five Sinners, what if this amalgamation doesn't resent Teyvat's current timeline and is actually doing its best to guide the current Vedrfolnir?

As for why? Because they're all trying to reach a future where Dainsleif survives, and this is the furthest they've ever come to reaching that goal.

In other words, the moment when your younger sibling has such an awful sense of self-preservation that you literally have to embrace the power of the Abyss to rebel against the concept of Time itself, all while also going against the Abyss' natural rules, since the other versions of yourself that are guiding you show no resentment to the current world.

50% of their relationship is sitting in silence and it's great because Lynette feels perfectly safe with him and Childe feels safe with her. He doesn't have to Perform Humanity. He doesn't have to hide that he's really fucking good at violence. He can make out of pocket comments about blood on snow and she doesn't look at him like he's grown a second head. For fuck's sake, Childe is more normal than most of her relatives.

And then Lynette gets someone who is painfully loyal, also understands HER lifestyle and ADMIRES it instead of suggesting they drown Foltz to get rid of the little serial killer in the making, trusts her enough to handle her own shit (unlike her brother) but also won't just stand there obliviously when she gets in over her head. She gets someone that respects and values her insight and maybe she even gets a little bit of a project. She likes taking care of people, to a point.

One of my favorite scenes I have in mind is them walking in public together holding hands and both of their skins are crawling because there's something uncomfortably intimate about the gesture. Childe has one less hand free in the event of an attack. Lynette has now solidified herself as Attached to him, and an acceptable target if someone wanted to wound a Harbinger. But also it's kinda fun and worth it and what normal people in their early twenties do. Childe flashes someone a smile at the grocery stall and they cringe away and when they go to leave, Lynette murmurs to him "They're scared of you because you don't smile with your eyes. They can tell it's fake. Try squinting if you want to comfort people."

The Omnistatic Circle deals AoE True DMG to up to three nearby enemies every 1.1s, prioritising non-invincible enemies with the lowest HP.

The Omnistatic Circle deals True DMG to a nearby target every 1.1s, prioritising non-invincible enemies with the most HP. (True DMG cannot crit, and cannot be affected by character or enemy stats.)

Omnistatic Circle hits are considered as hitting the enemy with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst.

Omnistatic Circle hits always trigger ally abilities that trigger upon dealing damage, even when the target is shielded, invincible, or an Elemental Monument.

Whenever a nearby party member performs a Pneuma-aligned attack or an Ousia-aligned attack, Rhinedottir's Omnistatic Circle damage becomes both Pneuma-aligned and Ousia-aligned for 30 seconds.

Rhinedottir's Omnistatic Circle deals Nightsoul-infused damage.

Secret Rite: when there are 2 or more Hexerai in the party, Omnistatic Circle hits count as Swirl, Melt, and Geo Construct damage.

Original Sin: when there are 2 or more Sinners in the party, Omnistatic Circle hits decrease Abyssal RES by 40% for 15s (does not stack).

Ascendant Gleam: Omnistatic Circle hits count as Lunar reaction damage and Kuuvahki-aligned damage.

When Rhinedottir is inside a Stellar Domain, Omnistatic Circle hits count as Stellar reaction damage and Fae-aligned damage.

Qixing Quorum (2+) — Whenever the party has a Qixing Yuri Moment, Rhinedottir accumulates one point of Complex Pining. Then, Rhinedottir consumes 3 Complex Pining points if able to have a Qixing Yuri moment (up to once per 0.3 seconds). This Qixing Yuri moment cannot accumulate Complex Pining.

The First Throne — Celestial Authority abilities trigger an additional time. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s, counted separately for each kind of Celestial Authority ability.

Ascension Passive 2: Transformative Cycle: For 30 seconds after nearby party members trigger a reaction or deal reaction DMG, Omnistatic Circle hits count as triggering the same kind of reaction damage.

Nearby party members' Swirl, Overloaded, Superconduct, Electro-Charged, Burning, Bloom, Lunar Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, and Rimegrass reaction damage can score crit hits, with Crit Rate +12%. All other reaction damage gains Crit DMG +24%.

Burst: Naberius Eater: Rhinedottir plays a 5★ burst animation and gains Transmutation for 60 seconds.

Rhinedottir's 5★ burst animation lasts 2.2 seconds, during which she is invincible, and Naberius is sassy.

Rhinedottir's 5★ burst animation can be dodge cancelled, jump cancelled, and swap cancelled. The active character remains invincible for the remainder of the burst animation duration.

Energy cost: 0.

Cooldown: 8 seconds.

Status — Transmutation: Consume this status when Rhinedottir leaves the field. Then, after 0.05 seconds, if the active character is an Element character, Rhinedottir gains The Seven-Shifting Serpent: [Element] for 60 seconds, and decreases the character switch cooldown by 0.9 seconds. (“Element” can be one of: Anemo, Cryo, Dendro, Electro, Geo, Hydro, Pyro.)

Status — The Seven-Shifting Serpent: [Element]: Rhinedottir is considered to be an Element character. Her Omnistatic Circle hits count as an Element infusion of that type. They deplete Elemental shields but do not trigger reactions.

Rhinedottir can only have one The Seven-Shifting Serpent: [Element] status at a time. Gaining a new one replaces the old one.

When under both The Seven-Shifting Serpent: [Element] and Transmutation status, Charged Attack consumes Transmutation to deal additional damage.

Constellation 1: Melanosis

When there are 3 or more Element characters in the party (including effects from The Seven-Shifting Serpent: [Element]), enemies hit by Omnistatic Circle take 20% increased Element damage for 30 seconds.

When an Omnistatic Circle is on the field, it grants each teammate:

750 Max HP, for every 1,000 points of that teammate's Max HP above 30,000. The maximum increase in Max HP that can be achieved in this way is 15,000.

100ATK, for every 150 points of that teammate's ATK above 1200. The maximum increase in ATK that can be achieved in this way is 1200.

25EM, for every 30 points of that teammate's EM above 700. The maximum increase in EM that can be achieved in this way is 250.

10% Crit DMG, for every 20% of that teammate's Crit DMG above 120%. The maximum increase in Crit DMG that can be achieved in this way is 60%.

Omnistatic Circle hits grant each teammate 0.15 Energy for every 10% of that teammate's Energy Recharge above 200% (max once per 2.0 seconds). Up to 1.5 Energy can be regained this way each time.

Constellation 2: Leucosis

If a nearby party has a Goblet of Eonothem equipped, that Goblet's primary affix is doubled. This effect ends 60 seconds after Rhinedottir dies or leaves the field.

I kow that a lot of Western Genshin fans either don't care about Slavic people or group them as "just Russians" and that Hoyo has tendencies to clash a few cultures in one region. Flins is no expection in that, as he has both Polish and Bulgarian influences — but I think that in his case it makes a lot of sense, so I'm going to talk about it briefly.

His Bulgarian inspo lies with his past and origin.

As it was revealed to us, Flins is a Snowland Fae, a species that once accompanied Belyi Tsar, the original Cryo Archon, his followers. Their language seems to be Latin, or at least Latin-based (akin to Enkanomiya lol).

Bulgaria is the oldest Slavic country that exists to this day, as it's origin trace back to 7th century AD — with Bulgar khan Ispor/Asparuh being credited as the estabilishor of First Bulgarian Empire. After adopting Christianity, Bulgaria became the centre of Slavic culture, its spirituality and literature.

The reign of first tsar ever, Simeon I of Bulgaria, is said to be Golden Age of Bulgarian Culture. His feats are many, among with successful campaigns against Byzaintines or Mongols, among others. I won't go into detail but while the Genshin Belyi Tsar is named after Russian mythological character, I think it is safe to assume Simeon I the Great could be his inspo as well. Glagolitsa, or the Glagolitic script is the oldest known Slavic alphabet — which later evolved into Cyrillic alphabet we know today, named after Cyrill of Alexandria, the inventor of Glagolitsa, who moved to Bulgaria along with his brother. Cyril and Methodius are known as "Apostoles to the Slavs" for the evangelizing of these tribes.

Now, Flins' name - Kyryll - is a variant of Cyril, used mostly in Bulgaria. Same goes for his patronymic name, Chudomirovich, which comes from a Bulgarian painter and writer Chudomir. Interesingly enough, two of Chudomir's most famous short stories are titled "I'm not One of Them" and "Locals"... which in itself could describe Flins quite well. He looks human, but isn't one of them - and he's not really a local either, as Fae are not common in Nod-Krai itself.

As for his Polish inspo? His present and his duty as a Lightkeeper, as well as the association with death.

Shortly after Flins' drip marketing I saw people talk about the Polish deity of death Flins... which is only alleged (mentioned in first sentence of1 Wikipedia article, but oh well). Sorry to rain on your parade but the mythological deity Flins most likely did not exist nor have any worship or cult. As pagan Slavs did not have any writing system nor script, most of recordings we have come from German scholars - such is the case with Flins, who was described by Konrad Bothe and most likely comes both from a mistranslation and misunderstanding. I find it ironic and quite fitting for Flins' surname.

Another thing is his association with death and graveyards. This is going to be more anecdotic, as I don't have much historical records or anything to quote here, rather than my own observations of Poles and their culture nowadays.

Poles love the martyrology of their country and thus, have obsession with dead - however, unlike other cultures which also have strong ties to honouring the dead, in Poland it's all really about being sad, mourning. "If you want to speak about the deceased, it can only be good words". Flins birthday falls on October 31st and this, actually, has strong ties to Polish culture too. Of course, Halloween falls on October 31st, but so does the Forefathers' Eve/Dziady, pre-Christian rites which essentially were communion of the living with the dead, estabilishing a relationship with your ancestors. This could, very well, tie Flins' past with his present self. Another holiday is Christian feast day, All Saints' Day on November 1st in Poland. During that day, people usually put lamps and flowers on graves, which then... makes a really beautiful sight.

This also reminded me of Flins' unique ability to interact with graves and ghosts in Nod-Krai.

Last thing is his 4th constellation's name — Night on the Bald Mountain.

Łysa Góra, translated as the Bald Mountain, is a hill in Świętokrzyskie Mountains, Poland. The mountain has some historical & pagan connotations: first, there are legends about witches' sabbaths being held there. Second, the chronicler Jan Długosz noted that Łysa Góra was a sacret mountain and a pagan temple. Cults of few differents gods are mentioned. Later on, in the same place, the Benedictine monasery of Holy Cross was founded there, as Łysa Góra is said to enrshrine part of Christ's corpse. (whatever, least crazy claim about Polish grounds) So... what were you doing at Bald Mountain AT NIGHT, Flins?

Last thing I want to mention is his Normal Attack name, Pocztowy Demonspear. According to Genshin Wiki and Wikctionary, "pocztowy, from Polish poczet "fellowship" or "retinue," was a medium or heavy-cavalry soldier in the Royal Polish Army and later the Grand Ducal Lithuanian Army from the 15th until the 18th century". Which. Is.. true. And it makes sense given his ties to historical stuff of both Bulgaria and Poland. HOWEVER no one uses that word like this anymore. First time I heard Pocztowy Demonspear just like EVERYONE in Polish fandom I assumed it was pocztowy as in postal (ie. kod pocztowy - postal code), relating to poczta (mail). Hoyo, jokes truly do write themseleves. One must imagine Flins being a mailman.

Adding update to this post after half a year: another thing I haven’t mentioned back then is that Flins’ attire, or rathe its elements seem to resemble parts of Podhale Gorals’ traditional clothes! The parts circled in red correspond to a belt worn by men (pics 3, 4), green ones are very similar to studs (pic 5,6) and the part in yellow on his pants reminds me of how the trousers look like - the blue part could, if you squint, look a bit like the embroidery that’s common in folk clothing.

Arguably his outer coat could also resemble the one worn by Gorals.
