Like I remember so many childhood shows where the female characters had all those traits but still powerful, and was a full character with goals, ambitions, wants and needs. For example, winx club, monster high, my little pony, barbie, strawberry shortcake, little pet shops, etc. If you can see many of these are kids shows, and it's made because we are thought growing up that this is how a girl should be and behave. These shows took that assumption and the fact many girls like "girly" things and still showed complexity and the fact that we are more then that.

But many media now is telling women that they can't be any of these things. They have to be political savvy, strong, either not into feminine things at all or only a little bit, isn't about love at all, sees motherhood as always something negative, and so on.

It doesn't matter the setting of the specific media, if it makes logical sense that in certain time periods women didn't have right nor even the idea of something different other then being perfect girls or women. The girl or woman has to be almost like a man in a women's body that is only dressing feminine because thats the norm and expected.

This is probably why legally blonde, mean girls, the devil wears prada and others are so well beloved even today. It shows that a woman can be all these things without being damsels in distress or dumb clueless little birds. Maybe thats also why so many royalty shows are popular, no matter the language or tone. It shows a feminine woman gain and rise to power using all the tools that was given to her. And other troops that doesn't have the woman transform in a somewhat man.

I don't know, maybe I'm reaching. It's just that many characters are ruined because the writers think a woman who's feminine automatically means weak. Or if a woman is a victim that automatically means she isn't a well written character, and there has to have more agency. As if a woman can't be a person with thoughts and feelings and also still be a victim.

This is just a thought bomb, don't take it in offense.

Everyone played good, it's just for the reason of Argentina being last wc winners I wanted someone new to win. I know other people have more serous valid reason why they was rooting against Argentina, and our combined efforts didn't go in vain. Also not bts performing an old and now boring song, swim or hooligan was right there. And then announcing jb as country or soul?, may I ask where?. I found the love song at the end ironic. Hopefully next wc will not be surrounded by so many problems.

Let me start this off my saying how new this whole experience has been for me. This is the first time I actively stayed on time to watch each episode every week, was engaged in a community online something I never thought I would do and expressed my opinions openly with strangers. That's another thing, it was me going through all this and feeling a sense of community for the first time with complete strangers.

And the cherry ontop of all this, was that for me the vampire lestat was good.

Sure I had issues with writing here and there, but since the beginning I'd liked it. And of course the actors did their thing. Plus everyone who worked on it, from costume, to makeup, set design, casting, down to the biggest promotional thing which was the music. This has been an amazing journey, with a nice ending.

Now the episode. I like how many people including me thought they was gonna end it with akasha coming up on stage and taking lestat away, but no that's going to be next season. Instead the finally was less chaotic in away, but soo much more satisfying. I don't have anything negative to say actually. The part with Armand and louis in the barbershop?, too good. AND WHAT DID I BEGG LOUIS TO DOOO, TO LEAVE REGINA ALONEEE. I was soo happy they let her live at the end. I could care less if she was in on the plan or nothing, louis should have left that girl alone from the start. Then the end where louis gives that beautiful apology ish speech to armand, heartbreaking. I need Regina, louis and armand to get behind me, bring lestat to but he on watch. I find it odd how some people say this apology wasn't warranted and the writers aren't acknowledging louis pain. Listen, this apology to armand was worth it, and to acknowledge louis pain is to stop downplaying how bad lestat treated him (and claudia). Something the show did do but also kind of made him less villainous. So no, this isn't armands fault nor does his pain have to dissappear. Mind you this is the first time if I can remember the show genuinely being kind to armand, or showing grace let's say. I might be wrong, haven't re-watched iwtv.

Now to lestat. I loveddd their conclusion of him, it was beautiful. The table scenes, where you can see clearly his inner mind. When Gabrielle switched with magnus, when they was going through the heart and soul, how they showed and gave more context of the witches burning, when at the end everyone at the table basically ate him up, and the ending with all his victims surrounding the stage, with louis brother coming to sit next to him. It was...perfect.

This might mean that lestat did kill louis brother. And this scene plus the scene after proofs how selfish and self serving Gabrielle has always been. I also don't know much about talamasca, so I don't know what's the white guys whole deal in this, only that he really wants the concert that he knows is nothing but bad news to continue. And as we see all the way at the end...nothing good is coming after this season.

Also, no lestat this wasn't all your fault. For once, someone else takes most if not all the blame.

Also, brutal love best song of the season???.

Also, hopefully Fareed stays alive till the end then looks at the camera and says "I'm not here". This includes regina.
