The only reason I would want Izzy in a potential season 3 is to see, once again, how he never sees it coming.
I know Ed better than anyone, my arse.

' . . . I became such a fearful person, after I met you.'
Abigail Dean, from The Death of Us
I do like that Gangle's feelings on Jax stay complicated.
The thing is, Jax is an abused girl, who's had a lifetime of dysphoria and misery, misery that's inherantly bad and corrosive, and she should get to be free of it. The thing is, she's deeply misogynistic and abusive. Her community needs to reckon with both pieces of that - how she's still someone they know too well to not care about, but at the same time she's not safe. The answer is inherently sacrificial - if Zooble wants to help her, they need to sacrifice their arms. Pomni nearly dies, and is left staticky with no knowledge of how to fix it without Caine. To reach out to Jax is genuinely dangerous - see Ribbit - and the fact needs to be a part of whatever they do next.
And so Zooble and Pomni take on that task, as the most durable members of the cast. It's inherently kind of a chain - Pomni's community helps her with the damage that Jax is inherently going to inflict, giving her the ability to take care of her.
And Gangle doesn't. That kind of matters too. That the person who was really badly treated by her could give up that job of caring for her, because someone else in their community would take it on. Because abuse is complicated, and just because she abused her does not mean Gangle wants her dead, but simultaneously having her care for the person who hurt her is so cruel. You get to delegate out those tasks - Gangle can be kind and uninvolved.
