He was a kid around the same time as the older gen (Eda, Alador, Raine ect) and gets cursed by one of his own family members for practicing wild magic in a strictly coven pro Belos household, it causes some of his bones and joints to grow new joints or just expand awkwardly causing like bleeding stretch marks and other fucked up symptoms, he took up MORE wild magic after this to make abominations as an accomodation for himself, and used to be a potion client of Eda's for pain relief purposes and because he's the boiling isles equivalent of a wanted felon and thus can't get regular ass medical attention

Idk if other people do this but personally in lore smps I like choosing different shader packs depending on what sort of eyes my character has

Tuesday gets a super bright (blinding when outside caves) shader pack because his pupils have little to no pigment outside of what the blood naturally supplies, hence I make the world super vibrant for him

Esther is colorblind, she also has facial duplication resulting in a third eye in the middle of her faces, but that can't really be shown through shaders I think

Mermaids with sensory issues who hate the transition from water to land, so the rest of their pod has to bring them anything they might need from above water

Abyssal Mermaids who have to wear thick dark sunglasses and struggle wherever there's sunlight

Mermaid society made over a trench so much of the city is within the trench itself, non Abyssal tourism includes night vision goggles and a strict tour guide

Abyssal AND non Abyssal Mermaids having to do slow decompression or they get decompression sickness

Mermaids who have jewelry all the way down their tail, Pierced fins ect

Mermaids with tattoos of maps of the sea, so they can always find their way home

Sirens with tattoos of sheet music or lyrics

Sirens living in Mermaid towns , singing at their Dive bars (pun intended)

Sirens bringing the bodies of humans to mermaids towns, to them it's a normal meal but mermaids view it as a dangerous to get and exotic dish

Mermaids and Sirens having cultural differences because Sirens spend more time on land hunting, whereas if a mermaid is on land it's purely because they'd like to be/are exploring

Sirens use some human things, but only the ones they find useful, silverware, some clothings, ect

Mermaids use human junk as decoration, especially shiny plastic and metals that look like scales or gems
