Multifandom Stuff and General Autism

Hey guys. I haven't really updated personally on here since I was in high school, and im grown now and I lve decided I wanted to share something with the bandom community:

I am going on tour. I am a professional photographer. I will be on stage every night for two months capturing images of these incredible people I am lucky enough to call my friends. It wasn't silly or parasocial to be drawn to those types as a kid, what I was sensing was that those were my people. I don't want to say the name of the band for my own privacy, but they're pretty big. And they're my friends, rockstars are my friends. You can do anything if you want it bad enough, that culture you love? You can be a part of it, you can be more than a fan. You have to work your ass off, but you can be a part of it all. You don't have to look in from the outside. Anything is possible. I don't want to diminish fan culture though at all, all those years of being a full time fan have paid off. It showed me a world that became my passion. I went to concerts and I fell in love with the scene. It started with alternative and emo music, and it's led me down the rabbit hole to finding home in the soul rock/psychedelic rock world. The first time I did photography for the band I'm going on tour with was the happiest moment of my life. I felt like I finally belong, like I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. I'm so excited to begin this chapter of my life, and it began 10 years ago right here on tumblr dot com.

IT WAS NEVER A PHASE

In honor of twenty one pilots announcing their new album Clancy, here's this ancient meme I resurrect every album cycle.

"No." Says the tuna, "Do you?"

"I have never seen it." Says the whale, "but deep in my body, I remember it."

"Why do you care," says the tuna, "if you will never see it."

"There are bones in my body built to walk through the forests and the mountains." Says the whale.

"They will disappear." Says the tuna, "one day, your body will forget the forests and the mountains."

"Maybe I don't want to forget," Says the whale, "The forests were once my home."

"I have seen the forests." Whispers the salmon, almost to itself.

"Tell me what you have seen," says the whale.

"The forests spawned me." Says the salmon. "They sent me to the ocean to grow. When I am fat with the bounty of the ocean, I will bring it home."

"Why would the forests seek the bounty of the oceans?" Asks the whale. "They have bounty of their own."

Last year I finally had an excuse to illustrate this simple little Tumblr story I've had bookmarked forever for class.
