Who would win
Miss Piggy
Angel from Buffy
It seems like we're just feeding characters to Miss Piggy at this point
It's August so I've been eating like a pound of fruit a day and I think it's fixing me
NEVER APOLOGISE. IT'S TRUE. APE MODE WILL FIX ME. APE MODE WILL FIX US ALL. EAT A FRUIT STRAIGHT OFF THE BUSH. RUN YOUR FINGERS THROUGH YOUR FRIEND'S HAIR. POKE SOMETHING WITH A STICK. LIE UNDER A TREE. THIS IS ALL WE HAVE.

The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Wildfire Recovery Fund
recently saw ppl discuss whether they put their medicines in a kitchen cabinet or a bathroom cabinet and i was shocked by the fact that many ppl said kitchen cabinet. so now i need you to reblog this and say where you keep yours
The game industry hardship fund bundle has raised over 100,000 dollars in short order, with ten days left to go.
An indie game bundle aimed at helping laid off video game developers has raised over $100,000 in a matter of days. This bundle, which you can find on itch.io here, was created to contribute funds to the Game Industry hardship fund. This fund, formed by the CWA video game union in July, provides financial relief to North American developers who have been caught up in the years-long deluge of layoffs. The bundle contains 127 games which can be bought by interested gamers for a minimum of $10, though you can opt in to pay more if you are so inclined. The full sum of these games when bought outside of the bundle comes to $1,023, meaning those buying in are saving over a grand in value.

the situation with harry potter is kind of unprecedented in some ways imo because it is maybe the largest media franchise in history to be created & owned by a single person who still has direct creative control over it. who is also a billionaire with significant cultural/political influence. like the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" type excuses shatter on impact when the bigoted author in question is logging onto twitter every day saying explicitly that when you buy the tim hortons ravenclaw donut she is using your donut money to fund the genocide of trans people. like with big franchises usually there's at least a little more diffusion of responsibility than this
putting carbonated water in my super soaker and spraying it at dogs (they absorb the bubbling nature of the liquid and begin to ascend into the sky) (thousands watch in awe) (no one does anything) (the sight is, in essence, divine)

mid-century modern edgeworth
My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.
There's a scene in very early 60's Doctor Who where a character falls into a swamp, I think, and they throw not a rag doll, but a card board cut out of the actor. 10/10 they don't make 'em like this no more

Gannet Diving necklace by Rie Taniguchi
hi !! do u have any resources for learning more about personal security and privacy re: flock & ring? i’m extremely paranoid about these things and i’ve been down youtube rabbit holes abt them that .. don’t actually offer any solutions but Do succeed in making me even more scared to leave the house lol. i would love to know what actions i can actually take to keep myself safe but idk where to look. im sick of being agoraphobic i wanna be free… any help or tips much appreciated
hi! articles are often easier for me to learn from without panicking compared to videos. i recommend EFF's articles and reports about flock & police surveillance in general:
Throughout 2025, EFF conducted groundbreaking investigations into Flock Safety's automated license plate reader (ALPR) network, revealing a
Government officials across the U.S. frequently promote the supposed, and often anecdotal, public safety benefits of automated license plate
as far as what to do about it, i recommend documenting cameras in your area on deflock:
Find license plate readers (LPRs) near you.
and getting involved in collective action in your area. this might look like going to protests or providing public comment at city council meetings or providing public education on ALPRs or making/distributing license plate covers or. you know. other stuff. but whatever tactics you use, it's better to do so in a group. if there isn't a group in your immediate area, see if there's any regional or statewide action that you can help out with occasionally or remotely, such as by submitting FOIA requests for police surveillance records.
i also just want to acknowledge for a moment that feeling paranoid about these things is an extremely reasonable reaction. i have a lot of anxiety about this stuff that easily manifests in agoraphobia too. but knowing that there are people in my area who really care and are doing what they can to fight it, and trying to help them out however i can, has been really helpful too.
i did a little workshop tonight about this and in my preparation for that, i came across these toolkits by Fight For the Future and the ACLU to help with ALPR opposition:
SURVEILLANCE DOES NOT MAKE US SAFER Flock is a surveillance company that sells Automatic License Plate Readers (ALPR) and partners with Immi
