I was honored by the wonderful @pilarschacher who took amazing pictures of the crown I made a while ago. In the meantime the crown has been oil-coated and heated to achieve a darker color of the iron, it rusted naturally as intended in the first place and this is what came of this. There will be 2 more posts because I really could not decide to scrap any of the shots taken. The finished piece. Self-alloyed and sand cast sterling silver ring. Original design scrollwork. Removed and hand-stippled/flattened background. About 30 hours of work in total. Worth every second because this is a gift for my father who normally doesn t wear much jewelry but as it seemed he likes it. Heavy piece with about 40 gramms but has a great fit and wear.
