3 major things

1. The levels of trans going on here is outstanding. I love how Jack is wobbly and undefined and how Dennis *isn’t* trans in the strictest of sense but rather has to unlearn the self hate he feels. Oh chef kiss.

2. I love how much Robby and Jack learn. Something that you do in writing is always make R&J feel like actual people and not the person that lots of fic writers want which is them after a decade of therapy. Fic tends to sanitize them into something without teeth. No! Pitt canon backs this up that for all the good they are, they were also Raise In A Society and that matters and impacts how the see and go about the world. Your writing encapsulates that so much.

3. God I hate pregnancy. It’s complete body horror to me and it’s so nice to see an interpretation of a character capable of birth go “absolutely the fuck not”. And then keeps that opinion. He’s never convinced to rethink or opens up to the idea maybe in the future. It’s just no absolutely not. God it’s so cathartic to read.
