downtown lights by teethmotif is the best portrayal of Phil I have EVER seen. I can't overstate this. They capture his whimsy and klutziness effortlessly as a coffee house manager in Scotland. It's INCREDIBLY dark, but in a true to life way. It's heavy on the suicidal ideations so just be warned, but if you can handle it, it's a bloody masterpiece. Words:51,335 Chapters:9/?

Temporary Adhesion by @celineooks the whole series is called Sticking Together and you should read the whole thing. It's Phil's superglue story if Dan was the EMT. This is the fourth phic in the series and FUCK! This was actually the first proper AU I read in the phandom and one of the first proper AUs I ever read. I didn't think I liked AUs until I read this. I do still find it so interesting that their definitions of jealousy within their relationship went to Dan losing Phil and Phil missing out on doing something together with Dan… it’s rather sweet and very reflective of how much they care for each other, what they give/recieve from one another's company in slightly different ways :’) side note: I also LOVE how giggly phil is at this bit ..especially after dan says 'I don't care'… he laughs so hard out of this lil like surprised delight he seems to always get from hearing dan talk so openly (and bluntly haha) about aspects of their relationship... oo my heart (╥ᆺ╥；♡) …

It was also really endearing to hear Dan say he wouldn't care/be jealous if Phil spoke to another man but at the same time admit he would be annoyed if Phil hypothetically watched Drag Race with fries on a Saturday with someone else (god forbid) specifically because ‘that's our thing >:(' …of course ‘our thing’ referring to their sacred fryday ...♡ (⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝) … Even if Dan did further clarify he would be actually fine with this hypothetical scenario because they'd still have the following week together blah blah blah, I think the fact that his gut reaction of being annoyed that someone would be imposing on a special thing he and Phil established together... is sooo !! cutefunnyyyyy :’) like that’s what the concept of ‘jealous!Dan’ (mostly) means to me... it’s very much a 'it’s me & Phil vs the world' sentiment, yk? It’s almost like Dan can come across as territorial ?? haha but not necessarily in a possessive way - he doesn't limit Phil at all (i love this post that expands on that) but anyone who might potentially disrupt what he has with Phil or intrudes upon Their Things / Their Time needs to 1) back off *cat hiss* and 2) realise they don't remotely have a chance anyway because Phil makes it clear in his very direct philly way just how much he loves/wants Dan :') I can imagine Dan finds so much confidence in that honesty, loyalty and attention from Phil orz ... The mutual understanding that comes with all of this is what builds up the security D&P have within their relationship – and it’s really cute to observe! :')
