Look I used to work with tow truck guys and they do not give a fuck. One time the Air Force was doing a recruiting stunt and they decided to bring a plane as like…a prop? I dunno and they parked it in a 20 minute loading zone and 21 minutes later my coworkers IMPOUNDED THE PLANE.

I see (and agree with) your “you’re one bad month away from becoming homeless (so start redirecting your loyalty from billionaires to the working class)” and I raise you a “you’re one accident, one insect sting, one sudden mysterious illness, one virus from becoming permanently disabled (so start redirecting your sympathy from the able-bodied class to the disabled)”.

It’s nearly impossible for a person to reach old age and not be at least mildly disabled. Start caring about disability rights NOW.

So let me get this straight, White conservatives managed to install a new complete ban on abortion after 6 weeks of pregnancy — before many even know they’re pregnant, with no exception for rape or incest, in the state of Texas (where only 1% of the population is Muslim) and now White liberal are responding to this law by comparing it to living under Islam/Sharia law even though it was made by radical Christian Americans and even though abortion is permissible according to most Muslim scholars + sects of Islam? Sounds about American.

Even in the hardest interpretation of Sharia law, the cutoff date for abortion being illegal is 120 days. That’s seventeen weeks.

fun fact about aging: you don’t perceive yourself as being older but you perceive young people as being younger. today I was in a zoom meeting with a bunch of young men and I kept thinking ‘who put beards on these children’.

Correct. High school kids are WAY younger than I was when I was in high school. So are college kids. When I was in high school and college we were full grown adults. But now that I’m almost 40 the high school and college age kids are actually babies. It’s crazy how that happens. 

Everyone on planet earth currently is the oldest and most mature that they’ve ever been. And they always will be.
