I can't keep it a secret since they were literally in this episodes thumbnail, so let's get right to it yeah? Ever since I started this series, people have asked me to run specific experiments to see how the Quits would react. Many of them I have ignored due to my self-imposed rule: I cannot interfere with the Quits lives to an extent that goes against what the Quits choose to do themselves. No forcing Quits to interact, no telling them what to do, etc etc. I've stayed very strict on this rule...but that's about to change! This is all being done in celebration for hitting 3,000 followers on this blog (alongside this coincidentally being the one month anniversary of starting Quitland), so thank you everyone for all the support!

After a mysterious ritual done by the Church of Anti-Quit...a massive hole was formed on the sacred "massive Quit pixel art" present since day 1!

How...unflattering...

From this hole...a dastardly creature crawled onto this once peaceful place known as Quitland...a creature that stands in polar opposition to our beloved Quit...a creature known as...

uh...known as...Start...

...

They're...uh...not very intimidating when the game just calls them a Considerate Buddy...

This previously-purple doppelganger is going to be a pretty massive change to how I do things within Quitland. Because...

Start will be the vessel to allow us to DIRECTLY interact with the Quits.

That is to say, Start is completely exempt from the "I can't directly force the Quits to do anything" rule, because Start is NOT a Quit!

If I want Start to be friends with someone, I can force Start to interact with them...if I want Start to wear or eat something, I DON'T have to wait for them to ask...and maybe if Start regains enough of their power, we can request for them to move certain Quits housing and impact the islands layout...but they'll only be able to do that if enough members of the community request it...they are powered by our Godly influence. So if you've got a suggestion, send it to me and we'll see what Start can do!

The community can also request for Start to interact with certain Quits, so if you want Start to make friends with a specific Quit make your voice heard! I went through the liberty of demonstrating this mechanic by having Start interact with the two Quits who held the most weight in their creation...

Interestingly, Start IMMEDIATELY began trying to convince Jo that they would get along...this whole "Considerate Buddy" thing could just be a front to try and get on the Quits good side...stay vigilant Jo!

These were the only two interaction I forced onto Start for now, I didn't want to go too crazy on their first day of existence. But I did have a few other ideas for things to do with Start, the main one being that it would be very fascinating to have Start introduce themself to EVERY Quit, and then wait and watch to see which Quits choose to interact with Start and which want nothing to do with them...could end up showing which Quits are easily swayed by Starts charisma, and which are more suspicious of the new shadowy lookalike...

I also decided to give Start some fittingly edgy clothes and a spooky house:

Of course they loved it...don't be fooled by this demons seemingly kind personality...they're a conniving little thing at heart!

....Or...maybe not...

Anyways this is hilarious for multiple reasons.

Obviously it's funny because Start, this mysterious evil being I've been foreshadowing for weeks now, fell in love with a Quit literally in the first 10 minutes of joining the island. But it's also funny because they fell in love with specifically Quit 17.

Who's Quit 17?

EXACTLY!!!

I don't think I've mentioned this Quit ONCE throughout the whole series, and if I have it was very brief. They don't even have unique clothing! They are the most obvious case of a "Mob character" to exist on the island, so for Start to fall for them is just...multiple layers of hilarious.

Is this Mii even Start at all?!? Multiple people commented on the last video stating that this "creature" is likely not the real Start because Jo interrupted the summoning...and they might be right! Did the botched summoning result in a mentally warped Start? Or did it accidentally summon something completely different?!?

...Or maybe this IS Start...and falling for 17 is just another part of their plan to trick the Quits into letting them onto their good side...

...Or maybe Start is actually just not that bad...? Hm...

Anyways, as the day progressed Start showed little interest in Jo. They might still be sour over the whole "messed up ritual" thing. But they did seem pretty interested in 23:

Seems like they appreciated 23s attempt at summoning them and giving them a physical body, however messed up the result ended up being.

They even complimented 23s outfit when I plopped them inside the Church of Anti-Quit. Which...I mean yeah, fair. 23s design is a fan favorite for a reason.

...Alright, I THINK that's everything on Start for now. Remember everyone: Start is our way to directly interact with the Quits! Leave suggestions for things you'd like Start to do, such as interacting with specific Quits or changing the island layout! As Start continues to exist on the island...they might become even stronger and give us even more ways to interact with the Quits...like giving specific Quits more or less focus or isolating a Quits house away from the others...so keep an eye out!

Despite this episode obviously being very Start-focused, there were still plenty of other goings-on that happened with our classic Quit cast. In fact, there was actually quite a bit of romance!

First up, a Quit that's been the bane of my existence for a while now...

Jeez, is this monkey trying to be the new Quit 35? This is the third separate Quit they've fallen for.

And as if to play into the joke, [The Coin] chose 46...

So rest in piece the shortly lived 54 x 27. We will always remember you.

Oh, also, someone suggested I call the "new" generation of costumed Quits (so Monkey Quit, Hotdog Quit, and Mushroom Quit) the "Crab Society" because 54s favorite food is crab. What do you guys think of that? I kinda dig it.

Next is something right out of a poorly written drama...

This morning we had a very unique-hair focused romance blossom:

Quit 41 (which some people have dubbed "Miku Quit) fell for Quit 47!

And then only like, 20 minutes after that...

I mean alright dude you do you.

But wait! someone else already liked 47 before 41, Quit 20 to be exact! So of course when the confession was happening...

It's a battle of the hair styled Quits! Who will win?!?

Well I guess that makes sense, 41 does have the craziest hair of the island. (Also ignore the other guy they crashed the confession for the love of the game)

So we've got a new romantic pairing. Hopefully these two do more than the last few we've gotten...which have done diddly squat.

A bit of a minor update but I think it's worth pointing out: Jo had their second non-household acquaintance today (not counting Start who I forced an interaction with)...and you won't believe who it was.

Why, it's Quit 57! The ever-iconic Chicken Quit, and one of our married Quits to boot. Will Jo become a member of the ICSS? Only time will tell...
