Being a domesticated animal must be so weird. You see a big ape and you just think "I like that guy. I trust him. He looks like my friend."

I like to think that our pets look at us and think we're cute. Whenever I'm insecure about my appearance I imagine that dogs who wag their tail at me when I pass them on the street must be thinking that I look really adorable in my little outfit.

Australian scifi: post-apocalyptic. Might be wandering the desert between roving bands of survivors. Might be fully automated gay space communism that only vaguely mentions The Ashen Earth. Might be all the adults dying mysteriously and kids having to rebuild their own society. But we are post the apocalypse and its shadow weighs very, very heavily on the story. What we lost is never coming back.

there is literally no greater joy in this world then seeing people make fanart and fanfics for something you made

Not that hair smells different at night, but that anything you press your head against all night might have that scalp smell. (But I just remembered that sweating more from the scalp is a middle-aged development and that not everybody on tumblr is as old as I am!)
