hmmm… i think it’s possible. But what happens would then depend on when they met.If they faced each other in court before the whole disbarment thing, it would have been pretty uneventful. Like Miles might appreciate having an opponent who’s all calm and cool for once and might find it interesting to see a defence attorney who actually seems like he knows what he’s doing. At the very most, he might congratulate Krstoph on being so well held together after the trial had ended, unlike a certain defence attorney. But, if they fought it out after the disbarment, that would be interesting. I’m going to say by the time Miles would have had the time to come back to prosecute, it would have been quite a while since he apparently was busy with stuff for quite a while when Phoenix was first disbarred cos of AAI (i dunno i havent played it yet)Ok and then we have to split it into 2 scenarios again cos then it depends on if you’re talking about the canon where Miles probably didnt know much and Kristoph probably wasnt outright poisoning Phoenix, or my hc where Miles knew something was wrong and Kristoph had been poisoning and abusing Phoenix for a while now. So let’s do the first one first.By the time he’s prosecuting against Kristoph, he would have heard about him from Phoenix. He probably wouldn’t have heard much, but he would know that this man was Phoenix’s friend and defended Phoenix when he was to have his badge revoked. So he may be curious about this ‘friend’? He probaly wants to know what kind of company Phoenix is keeping. He’ll try to figure out what kind of person Kristoph is and maybe how close they really are. Are they in a relationship? Are they just friends? Acquaintances? Then, after the trial, maybe he goes to look for Kristoph to thank him for taking care of Phoenix. And then maybe he sees Phoenix go up to Kristoph to congratulate him first (they havent seen Miles yet) and possibly kiss him. Then there is a tight pang in Miles’ chest. Is it jealousy? Miles doenst know. But he knows he isn’t wanted. Kristoph has taken better care of Phoenix than he ever has and so he should leave them be. Then Miles leaves quietly. (i mean, Kristoph is still being abusive and all, but Miles doenst know)And then on to my hc version (which you can read about from here if you havent). So Miles has been hearing all sorts of horror stories from Klavier by that point. He knows Phoenix has been poisoned multiple times and is somehow still with Kristoph. So when he prosecutes against Krstoph, he’s struggling to keep it together. He’s more aggressive and rash with his assertions and objections than he usually is. He maybe yells at a totally calm Kristoph one too many times and gets told off by the judge for it. After the trial, he looks for Kristoph to confront him, but he can’t get anything out of him. He can yell all he wants, but Kristoph just smiles. Eventually he tells Kristoph he will catch him soon enough and storms off. And then he bumps into Phoenix. And Phoenix just glares at him because he knows Miles has been trying to break him and Kristoph up and he saw how Miles treated Kristoph in the trial. They end up arguing, yelling at each other, until Phoenix just says he doenst care anymore and walks off. But Miles grabs him by the back of his hoodie and yanks him back. He wants to yell, but he really can’t anymore. He just tells Phoenix, very quietly, that he doenst know why Phoenix is doing this and that he is truly concerned, that Phoenix can always contact him if he needs to. And then he lets go and leaves. There is nothing he can do. All he can do is hope that Phoenix eventually reaches out to him. He hopes that, by the time that happens, it’s not too late.
