Luo Binghe, 50+ years into being the Demon Emperor: "Mobei, see to that Ning Yingying gets this message, will you?" Mobei-Jun: "Which one is Ning Yingying?" Luo Binghe: "..." Mobei-Jun: "..." Luo Binghe: "Are you fucking serious right now?" Mobei-Jun: "Yes."

Like, it would be hilarious if Mobei-Jun can't be fucked to remember Luo Binghe's wives' names, but that does seem unrealistic. He probably knows the most important ones. So, like, taking that a step further... does he actually have any positive relationships with the likes of Sha Hualing, Liu Mingyan, or Ning Yingying? Ning Yingying is the funniest concept to me because she's, like, the least like him of those three. The most unlikely and therefore the most delightful.

Do they ever have to do any actual ruling together? Politics? Logistics? Can Ning Yingying boss Mobei-Jun around? Do they keep each other updated on important news and harem drama?

Mobei-Jun, walking into NYY's sitting room: "..." Ning Yingying: "What?" Mobei-Jun: "..." Ning Yingying: "He got married AGAIN?!" Mobei-Jun: "Yes." Ning Yingying: "It's only been two months." Mobei-Jun: "And two days." Ning Yingying, sighing: "I know that you think it's funny when the ladies are trying to tear each other's hair out, but could you do me favor and wait before telling Hualing this time-?" Sha Hualing, kicking open the door: "Where's the fresh MEAT?" Mobei-Jun: "..." Ning Yingying: "..." Mobei-Jun: "I have already told her." Sha Hualing: "Wake UP, people! I have a brand new venomous snake to hide in someone's bedchamber and someone else I want to frame for it! Mingyan is traveling again and I'm BORED." Ning Yingying: "..." Mobei-Jun: "..." Ning Yingying: "I told you to stop helping her get snakes." Sha Hualing: "Like I need his help for that!" Ning Yingying: "Did he open a portal for you?" Sha Hualing: "..." Mobei-Jun: "Yes." Ning Yingying: "Did she tell you why?" Mobei-Jun: "..." Sha Hualing: "Yes." Ning Yingying, putting her head in her hands: "Mobei, you can't keep doing this just because you think it's 'getting too chummy around here'! Hualing, do you really think I'm just going to let you drop a venomous snake into some poor young woman's bedchamber just because was seduced by my husband? Again?" Sha Hualing: "He's my husband too!" Mobei-Jun: "Yes."

WOW it's been SO LONG

What if he transmigrates in around the same time Luo Binghe gets picked up by Qing Jing Peak? He's kicking himself because while he was still figuring out where he was and getting his bearings, the disciple selection happened, and now he's too late to interfere and try to at least get Binghe onto a different peak or something.

Not that he's totally sure that would have even been possible. At least he's got front row seats to the plot, although that does put him in the revenge splash zone too, and currently the "plot" is just a misery conga line of abuse the protagonist suffers.

Anyway he quickly decides (for purely strategic reasons) that his best option is to try and help Binghe suffer less, at least. Especially in unobtrusive ways that won't catch Shen Qingqiu's ire and make more problems. He also should probably stay off of Binghe's radar too, but given he's a man, that won't be difficult!

Luckily, one of Shen Yuan's jobs is to be the disciple who runs over to Qing Jing Peak to announce when his shizun is going to be visiting. This is lucky because Shen Qingqiu avoids the hell out of him already as part of his weird relationship with the sect leader. Shen Qingqiu's primary disciples also tend to like, turn and run away if they see Shen Yuan, because otherwise he can tell them that the sect leader is coming and then they're the poor bastards who have to tell Shen Qingqiu. The only exception is Ning Yingying, but she doesn't bully Binghe anyway.

Shen Yuan utilizes his ability to clear the area on Qing Jing Peak just by being present to grant Binghe reprieves from bullying, at first. Then he starts finding excuses to give Binghe "extra" things that he "just happened to have" and oh he thought he would pay attention to his cute juniors on QJP, but it looks like Binghe is the only one around, well Binghe is cute enough for an army of juniors anyway so he can be shixiong's audience for this latest cultivation technique he learned! Oh whoops Binghe's manual got damaged. Not to worry, Shixiong will go and get him a fresh one. Let's just keep this between us so no one gets in trouble! Wink, smile.

Imagine, the malevolence of such a sentinel being replaced by the level-headed curiosity that Derek has always had. He would be a much kinder entity that absorbs the world. (And it would be sorta funny if this "concept of everything" is called Derek)

And even being such a Lord of vast and infinite experiences, D3r will go back to look for Avery. He knows where Avery is, of course, but Derek looks out for him, makes it so that they are always on time for appointments. Makes it so that Avery finds loved ones who soothe his grief and that he is happy with life, doesn't blame the world anymore. Makes the leaves of the trees in their neighbourhood more green and more red, and tells Avery, that yes. Derek cares.
