literally though if you feel like your life is slipping through your fingers and every day goes too fast… try doing hard things, not just taking the easy route, like reading and making art and exercising and cooking a meal from scratch and journaling, doing these things without distraction, without being absorbed on a screen… the time will stretch and you’ll be reminded that life is long and beautiful if you make it so.

I like to imagine the losers playing family: Bill is obliviously the dad with Eddie as his son. Richie is either the dog or the grandma that always pinches Eddie’s cheeks (the role he does the best and more often since he has the grandma voice in the book). Then Beverly as the mom WRONG. Bev is the cool aunt that nobody really knows what she is up to and everybody is go afraid to ask, while Mike is the mom who is THIS close to ask a divorce since Bill acts exactly like that asshole of his father. Mike is also the best one at acting (he was definitely a theatre kid) so his and Bill’s fake arguments were so good that one time Eddie even started crying because of how convincing they were. Stan is for sure the grandpa who actually hates all the family ESPECIALLY whatever member Richie is doing and begs every day to be his last. And to finish off, Ben is the rich cousin from out of town that knows he’s better than you and makes that clear.
