Yay! I have a Palomides webweave with a bunch of different things on it which may pique your interest but I’ve read more books since then so I will list out all I recommend here. :^)
Italian Literature I — Tristano Panciatichiano
Incomplete Italian romance but has a lot of fascinating depth and adventure!
The only complete Italian romance, this version doesn’t have Palomides as the knight of the Questing beast (Perceval is) but that just means he gets even more page time with the gang!
Byelorussian Tristan/Povest o Trishcane
Gawain and Arthur admire Palomides for wielding two blades it’s one of the introductions of all time he’s just really cool here overall.
Le Morte d’Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory
Malory does a lot for Pal here including giving him a legitimate reason for missing his appt with Tristan as well as keeping him around through the fall of Camelot!
Restoring Palamede by John Erskine
A story starring the man himself! All about his youth with his parents through the adventures of his knighthood.
The Book of Mordred by Peter Hanratty
Pal the Black Knight is the one to pick up baby Mordred and bring him safely to Arthur’s court.
Guinevere Evermore by Sharan Newman
Pal is a well respected and beloved member of the court who takes on the tutelage of young Perceval in the ways of mannerly conduct and chivalrous behavior. (CW warning for this one it has a lot of SA and incest in it.)
The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman
A Post-Camlann story in which Pal gets his own pov that covers the story of his life where it began in Baghdad until the fall of Camelot. This just came out so you can purchase it anywhere books are sold!

Child of the Northern Spring #1, Queen of The Summer Stars #2, Guinevere The Legend in Autumn #3 by Persia Woolley (CW again for this trilogy: SA, CSA, and incest).
All three series suffer from “written by an old white lady” so the portrayal of the character is often racist, with the first one writing Pal as a despicable villain without much nuance and the latter two both give him a backstory as a slave. I suggest them only because the old bats are dead and I have them readily available for you to read. Despite their flaws they’re beautifully written, Pal is integral to the plots, and the latter two were at least attempting to develop a sympathetic character of Arabian origins even if they fall short by 2025 standards.
The last thing I can recommend is the children’s film Camelot (1998) which is hideously animated with unbearable sound mixing… however the script was written by none other than Peter S. Beagle. Palomides is one of the very first knights Arthur recruits and the main architect behind Camelot! It rules!!
In addition to all of this, I have lots of essays that discuss the character and his prevalence throughout the legends. They can offer some more information to compliment the Medieval literature.
