BIDEN IS TRYING TO AMEND TITLE IX TO PROTECT TRANS ATHLETES.
This is currently in its open comment phase and itâs getting bombed by TERFs, surprise surprise.
If you live in the US, you can fight back by leaving your own comment HERE. Donât get cute or make threats, just explain why you think we should protect trans kids. And for fuckâs sake if youâre not actually in the US donât get the idea youâll just use a fake address. This is a government form, doing so can get the entire amendment thrown out.
Spread the word!!!
This isn't just a few crazy Terfs responding to this, it's a heavily coordinated and directed response from right wing organizations with large groups of followers who are all responding with the same copy and pasted message.
If we have any hope of fighting to protect title IX we need everyone to contribute to this! We need to stop these people from dismantling every anti-discrimination law in the country, because they won't stop unless we make them.
Also, TO BE CLEAR about how regulations like this work: they LEGALLY NEED to have significant evidence in favor of it in order for it to pass notice & comment. NOT doing that â ignoring huge amounts of data to the contrary, or creating the regulation without doing notice & comment at all â is considered "arbitrary and capricious" and can get it thrown out (something that happened A LOT in the Trump administration BECAUSE they didn't bother to do this shit properly).
THEY ARE DOING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. WE ALSO NEED TO DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME BY SUPPORTING IT.
Talking about pride again cause I just did a project on trauma so um. Happy pride month to people who didnât get the coming out that they wanted! To the people who risked everything coming out, to those that got negative reactions and had to cut people off. Happy pride to those that mightâve gotten a positive coming out but are still somewhat traumatized from their coming outs because thatâs valid, itâs so anxiety-inducing to come out and you are incredibly brave for doing that. Happy pride to those that only got a âwe always knew you wereâ, you deserve more of a supportive talk and Iâm proud of you for still coming out. Happy pride to those that were outed. Happy pride to those that are out to some people and closeted with others. Happy pride to those that are planning to come out this month, youâve got this, and happy pride to those that donât think theyâll come out <333

8/30/21: Updates were made to the Background section of this report and to the Annex to reflect amendments to Articles 356 and 358 of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) penal code.
Progress can be painstakingly slow and marred by setbacks. As we were drafting this report, in September 2017, Egyptian security forces went into overdrive, arresting dozens following the display of a rainbow flagâa sign of solidarity with LGBT peopleâat a concert. They relied on a âdebaucheryâ law that had been used in the early 2000s against gay men and transgender women and was revived with a vengeance following the 2013 coup, when the government, led by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, appeared to embrace persecution of gays and trans people as a political strategy. Even by recent standards in Egypt, the September crackdownâinvolving scores of arrests, forced anal examinations, and a formal media blackout on pro-LGBT speechâwas severe. But activists demonstrate creativity and dynamism even in such challenging contexts, training LGBT people on how to digitally protect themselves from police surveillance and entrapment and galvanizing international pressure on their government, a tool which they employ cautiously, often reserving it for human rights emergencies.
This report examines how LGBT activism survives under severe constraints, in repressive states and conflict zones, in places where activists risk social exclusion, prison sentences, and violence by security forces, armed groups, and even their own families. It also highlights creative approaches used in less repressive contexts to gain public support, identify government allies, and mainstream the rights of LGBT people in broader conversations about human rights and gender.
Several LGBT activists from the Middle East and North Africa expressed frustration, in conversations with Human Rights Watch, at one-dimensional international media coverage portraying the region as a black hole for LGBT rights. Such coverage fails to recognize the agency of LGBT activists from the region, or renders them completely invisible. âWe donât want the image anymore of just being victims,â Zoheir Djazeiri, an activist from Algeria, told Human Rights Watch. âWe want to speak about reality, speak about violence, but also to [show what is] positive.â
JKR literally wrote a manifesto against nonbinary people and trans men, and smeared autistic people while she was at it, so can y'all please stop acting like the JKR bullshit is somehow an issue unique to trans women only?
Stop acting like this isn't a community-wide issue that affects ALL trans people. Especially autistic trans people.
Our trans brothers & nonbinary siblings in the UK deserve better than this. Stop forgetting them. Stop erasing them.
Since some people are unaware of the breadth and depth of JKR's ableism:
In her award winning(!!!) essay, Rowling explained that she believes autistic trans men and boys (like myself) are not mentally competent to consent to our own medical care.
We're easily influenced, you see. Gullible. Liable to be led astray by militant trans activists, social media, and the glamour and popularity that comes with being transgender.
JK Rowling, outspoken feminist and champion for the rights of women, wants to deny medical autonomy to "girls" because she thinks we're overly-emotional, frivolous, and susceptible to peer pressure.
She has spoken directly about her belief that autistic "girls", especially, should not be allowed to transition because we're intellectually incapable of forming, recognising, and articulating our own identities, and especially vulnerable to "social contagion".
But, of course, the law doesn't (shouldn't) discriminate, and if autistic teens and/or adults can't legally consent to treatment of gender dysphoria, we can't legally consent to the treatment of anything. We won't be able to access any treatment or medication without approval from a responsible adult.
The ability of trans kids to consent to their own medical care has already been the subject of a court case (Bell vs Tavistock). It was overturned on appeal, but one of the potential consequences of that specific case was that cis teens could have lost access to hormonal contraception without parental consent.
If Rowling gets what she's said she wants, the knock-on effect may well be that autistic people in the UK lose the ability to live independently.
This is one of the things she's putting her social and financial clout into. Her ongoing activism is a danger to the lives and wellbeing of all trans people and all autistic people in the UK and abroad.
calling bisexuals straight for dating the opposite gender is like calling an ambidextrous person a liar for using the hand they prefer the most it's fucking stupid

concept: a facemask that says âVaccinated But I Donât Trust Y'allâ
This is puzzling the living hell out of me. If youâre vaccinated you literally donât need to trust anyone. Thatâs the whole point.
you know, i was just gunna ignore this, and let you be a ignorant on this, but since Iâm a frontline healthcare worker, itâs going to bug me if i donât tell you exactly how incorrect this statement is.
1. Yes, being vaccinated adds a great layer of protection against covid. The vaccines, overall, are extremely effective, in that they allow for 90-95% protection against some of the primary covid strains. Meaning that for many people who are vaccinated, they donât have to necessarily put their full trust in others to also be vaccinated.
HOWEVER:
2. I cannot emphasize this enough, but BEING VACCINATED IS NOT THE SAME AS BEING 100% FULLY PROTECTED, ESPECIALLY NOT FROM COVID VARIANTS. Being vaccinated is not a bullet-proof shield against covid. You CAN still catch the virus, even if youâre fully vaccinated, and while for many people, vaccination will prevent them from experiencing severe symptoms if they catch, you can absolutely still get infected (even without symptoms) and still spread the illness to others.
NOT TO MENTION:
3. The covid vaccines, while effective, do not protect against many of the variant covid strains we are currently dealing with, and while the vaccine does offer protection against some of those variant strains, it doesnât protect you as efficiently from them. My coordinator is a prime example. She is fully vaccinated, and has been since they first became available to frontline healthcare workers like us. However, she caught a variant strain of covid and experienced a horrific, month-long illness that she is still trying to recover from (months later) and that she will likely suffer with for years to come. Every classic covid symptom, she had it. Every symptom that persists past covidâs resolution (like brain fog, shortness of breath, etcâŚ) sheâs still experiencing. Upon antibody testing, they found she did develop full antibodies to the vaccine like she was supposed to; but they also found that after she caught the strain, she developed antibodies from that particular strain that were different than the vaccine antibodies sheâd already developed.Â
Just because you are vaccinated, even fully, does not mean you are 100% safe, especially if other people around you arenât fully vaccinated, or if theyâre jackasses and are lying about their vaccination status just to take their masks off. You can absolutely still catch covid and its variants if youâre vaccinated; you can absolutely suffer the full extent of that illness even if the chances are reduced; and you can absolutely still asymptomatically carry the virus and/or its variants, and transmit it to others.
The vaccine is extra protection, and Iâm so happy we have it. Iâm thrilled to be vaccinated. I do feel safer; but Iâm not letting that feeling of safety lure me into being careless. Being vaccinated is not a green light to ignore proper safety or to trust that others have your safety in mind. Despite what yâall want to think, this pandemic is still happening. People are still catching covid and its variants, and theyâre dying from it. Iâve seen it in my hospital to this day.
Think of the vaccine like the seat belt in your car. That seat belt is critical and it has saved countless lives. But itâs not a guaranteed safety measure, and it doesnât give you the freedom to drive like a maniac just cause youâre wearing it. Your seat belt also doesnât guarantee that others arenât going to hit your car in a way thatâs so damaging your seat belt canât help you. Having the seat belt on will absolutely make you safer!!! But it doesnât mean youâre 100% protected from the dangers of a crash.
So no, even if youâre vaccinated, if you want to take your mask off, youâre still having to place your trust in others that they are vaccinated too. If youâre vaccinated and donât want to wear a mask, you still have to trust that other people arenât just being lying assholes and potentially still exposing you to covid and/or its variants, and thus enabling you to potentially carry and/or transmit it.
So donât be stupid. Donât blindly trust that every fucker out there without a mask is following proper CDC guidelines and is fully vaccinated and that youâre totally safe. Youâre safer, if youâre vaccinated, for sure. Just like youâre safer in your car if you wear a seat belt. But that doesnât mean you get full reign to be careless. We are not yet to a point of effective herd immunity for covid. Wear your mask. Wear your seat belt.
Fuck the Fourth of July. Pay Native people now. Iâm an Apache two spirit man affected deeply by the pandemic and supporting a family. All reparations will be going directly to rent, bills, food & essentials (which we desperately need), clothes & baby items for the girls, new eyeglasses for myself, and car repairs. I donât have a set amount but in light of the recent events (Indian residential schools) and also the ongoing genocide white people put us under, I think we deserve all the $$ people can spare, especially if youâre âcelebratingâ in any way, shape, or form. Every white person should reblog this btw, thank you.

Disney plus is not even available in china i am begging you to stop blaming American homophobia on China
Nimona was going to get a film and they CANCELLED it? I never even heard they were making this. Apparently they laid off the team cos of coronavirus but man, what a loss. Nimona is great and Iâm positive it would have made an awesome movie.
âCos of coronavirusâ nah fam they bought the studio making Nimona, which was MOSTLY DONE, and cancelled the project. Disney is a multibillion dollar corporation and could easily afford to continue funding the project to completion but willfully chose not to. They chose to kill it. Not because of China or Russia or COVID, but because they are at their roots still supremely bigoted, including anti-gay. Donât let their rainbow-washing fool you. Disney is not your friend.
Support Creators and Artists, not the cooperation.
Hereâs the thing, itâs unfair to call Disney âbigotedâ and call it a day⌠when the reality is so much more sinister than that, and deserves to be scrutinised in detail.
Disney is devouring IPs. Thatâs a fact. They acquire smaller studios, including all original IP from those studios as well as any rights that were sold to them (even when the original creators did so specifically so Disney wouldnât get their hands on the IP). Doing anything with that IP isnât a priority, they just want it, because if they donât own it, someone else does. And that wonât fly when you want to be the only purveyor of entertainment media in the world.
Any bigoted actions are an interplay of that and Disneyâs funding priorities. The company doesnât give a single solitary crap one way or the other. Hell, if LGBTQ+ content was universally accepted, theyâd just flood the market with nothing but that. BUT! Thatâs not the case today. Theyâre peddling to the common market, which is bigoted because society is bigoted. Not even in the âGays is badâ way, but simply âI donât have anything agaist The Queers, I just donât know why the have to shove it in my face.â
And you can say âOh but if the film was so close to finished they could have just funded it the rest of the way!â But thatâs not the point. The point is, they want that IP to sit on, like a dragon on its treasure hoard. They want to have it available should they decide 10 years from now that itâll make all of the money. They want to prevent anyone else from making that money in the meantime. They want the positive press if 3 years from now they do decide to finish it, in a cynical bid to overshadow some new leak of abuse within the company.
Thatâs the truly sad thing; this isnât malice. Itâs Disney doing business in the same way itâs always done. And itâs crippling, hurting, destroying art.
Whatâs the solution here? Disney doesnât exactly have some kind of warrant to buy out indie studios, so what is making the indie studios who are already almost on completiong of their current work in progress, sell out to a big studio like Disney? Is it not enough support? Is it not enough reach? Not enough audience? No confidence in the product they are putting out? What? By all means, lambaste Disney in whatever form you want, whether it is calling it bigoted (which we know it is because its founder isnât exactly known for being a pro-semite), traditional capitalist/unethical business practice â the point is that you can go and cry all you want, but the root of the problem is this: when it comes to art, what is more important? The money? Or the integrity? Yes, I get that a small business esp in covid times is struggling with funds. And therefore it creates an opportunity for a big business to swoop in and say: hey weâll give you the money to pay your staff, but in return, we own everything you have.â Basically, this is a problem whether it is for a business that produces art, or otherwise. So tl;dr, the same thing still applies: SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES. Support your indie art studio. If you hear about something that interests you, spread the word. Shit, maybe if the original producers did a crowdfunding, it wouldnât have been in a position as precarious to allow itself to be bought out? We donât know the details tbh â Iâm going on the assumption that the creators donât actually want to sell their art to a MNC known for buying out IP? Unless they really had no choice because theyâre going broke and in debt? So yes, support artists and creators, not the corporation.
Wanna see my pride tartan designs? Well you donât have a choice
Any other flags I could do?
