I’ve seen a lot of people say that Susie was horrible to Catti during the festival and I want to share my thoughts. First, I want to say I understand Catti’s frustration. She’s had a crush on Noelle for who knows how long and then this new girl comes in and steals the spotlight. It makes sense that she’d be emotional about the situation and hold some sort of resentment towards Susie. The thing is, though, is that she has been really mean about it. She talks about Susie with demeaning language (beast/dark force/invader) and becomes overly protective of Noelle, going as far as asking Kris to protect Noelle from Susie. And she doesn’t even do this out of genuine fear of safety, as she didn’t even care about Susie until Noelle told her about her crush. During the festival, she was calling Susie those nicknames to her face and was being incredibly unfair when they held hands in the bowl (on accident!!!!). I do think Susie took things a bit too far when confronting Catti and making mean remarks, but that was mostly characteristic of her. Susie is also open to becoming friendlier with Catti and states she doesn’t hate her. Susie is impulsive, she does things without thinking and regrets it more often than not. But I think Catti is the one who really instigated it, she should try to accept Noelle’s feelings and move on.

So hard to get across that yeah i do think berdlys actions are why he is lonely, he could genuinely get along with susie and be better friends with noelle if he would just drop the act he puts on. Him being truthfull with noelle that he does see her as smart instead of constantly putting her down in comparison to him could have improved how she sees him. If he didint insult susie so much and make her think he didint like her she might have considered inviting him. His loneliness is a result of his actions to the people around him!!!

i’m so glad to see that other people starting to push back on the “Suselle lacks depth and doesn’t have any interesting drama to explore” thing because good god what a blatant fucking lie lmao

Noelle’s sister is probably the Knight and Noelle’s mother is DEFINITELY involved with the Knight, and there’s nothing interesting to explore there. Noelle has been built up as having a really contentious relationship with her mother (the same mother who is involved with the Knight) where she defers to everything she says and Susie has been set up to be opposing her mother in some way in the future, and there’s nothing interesting to explore there. Noelle was initially attracted to Susie because she was intrigued by how intimidating and fearsome she came off as but Susie wants nothing more than to hang out with her friends and be treated like a normal kid, and there’s nothing interesting to explore there. Susie has declared that she wants things “to never end” and Noelle has been forced to live for years in a house where everything has been metaphorical “frozen,” and there’s nothing interesting to explore there. there’s an entire alternate route where Noelle is manipulated into being a living weapon who casually kills the same Darkners that Susie has come to care for, behind her back, by their mutual friend, and the same fanbase who brought you theories like “Papyrus Knight” and “Friend Inside Me” will look you in the eye and say “ehhhh i dunno there’s just nothing here to explore besides Noelle stuttering about Susie”
