So, I'm still loving the version of Niamos played at Leida's wedding. And a while back, I saw that the Star Wars Youtube page posted an hour-long video with Mon dancing. It totally reminds me of Zemo's dance in Falcon and the Winter Soldier (which also has an hour-long video on Marvel's channel 🤣).
I just love that both these scenes are so iconic that these videos were made. 😆

Velkleya Week 2026 Day 1
This is the first time I'm ever posting something I've written. So, I'm a little nervous. But, I love Vel and Kleya and this idea popped into my head and I had to write it.
(I did changed the wording of the prompt a little bit which I hope is ok)
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy!
Prompt: "I'm not the first person you loved": Second Loves

“I know Kleya isn’t the first person you loved. And I’m not implying you should let Cinta go.”
Vel’s chair scraped harshly against the wooden floor as she abruptly stood up and walked over to the kitchen. Even from her place at the table, Mon could see tension cutting through her cousin’s back.
“My heart truly breaks that you lost her so soon. You both deserved so much more,” she pressed on. “You truly love her and that will never change.”
Mon slowly stood up and walked slowly over to the counter. The late afternoon sunshine cast the profile of Vel’s bowed head in shadow. She looked down and saw the white-knuckled grip her cousin had on the wood’s edge.
“But, that also doesn’t mean that you should completely shield your heart forever.” Mon gently placed her hand on top of Vel’s. The muscles in Vel’s hand flexed even more, but Mon didn’t move her hand.
“I’ve watched you and Kleya. How easily she has fit into your life and you into hers. How you both look for and to each other. How one of you always knows what the other needs. You both have fought so hard, lost and sacrificed so much.”
Mon moved closer to Vel and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
“That truly is love. And you both deserve to have a person that knows and understands. It may feel different than loving Cinta. But the thing about love is that it isn’t finite. Your heart will always create more.”
She gently squeezed Vel’s shoulders.
So, like a few others on here, my mom and I went to see Devil Wear Prada 2 today for Mother's Day after rewatching the first one yesterday. One of my favorite things is Andy and Nigel's friendship. So my heart burst when I heard him say "forever my girl."

Starting off the night with Phantom Menace and it is really interesting and cool that you can see Maul's strategy: separate Obi-wan and Qui-gon so he only has to handle one at a time, which he thinks will make them easier to dispatch.
And it almost works.
He's able to separate Obi-wan from Qui-gon, take out Qui-gon, and then only focus Obi-wan. But he truly underestimates who he's fighting and pays for it.
So Padme most likely indirectly saved Grogu, huh?

And if you don't mind me adding my headcanon to this in honor of May the Fourth 😅:
Padme developed friendships with other Jedi, especially Kelleran Beq. Not just Anakin, Obi-wan, and Ahsoka. So when she saw and heard about the attack on the temple, she sent one of her ships and some of her guards to try and help the Jedi escape. That is why she had to take the other ship (the one we saw her take to Mustafar) to find Anakin.

Here’s the last (for now) critter in my Mythical Carousel series: Hippocampus!
This is so cute and beautiful! 😱🤩 I absolutely love hippocampi. This makes me think of the carousel in Mary Poppins. I would want this to be my horse as I rode with Mary Poppins and Bert! ☺️
So after watching the Sunrise on the Reaping trailer, I'm completely with everyone else: it is so colorful. Definitely different aesthetically from the other movies, which is cool and interesting.
But...
All I can think about is Dr. Gaul's "rainbow of destruction." 😳 Which, for me personally, is a good reminder to not be drawn in by the spectacle and not to fall into the trap of the games.
We know that it was Valarr's armor that Baelor wore in the Trial of Seven. We also saw Daeron's, Maekar's, and Aerion's. So, I wonder what Baelor's would have looked like in AKOTSK. Personally, I think it definitely wouldn't have been as flashy as Aerion's or even Maekar's and more like Valarr's. Understated at first glance but with details when you get closer, like maybe scales.
But I'm really interested to hear what other people think.

Pretty sure I saw that Steve's dad's name is Danny in the credits. Interesting.
Really, really disappointed that we didn't really get extended moments and scenes between Steve and Robin. I love them and their relationship so much. But...
This interview clip with Joe and Maya is giving me hope that a big Steve and Robin moment is coming in the series finale. I need more Platonic with a Capital P soulmates!

Robin and Steve got to have some dialogue between them and were in a couple of full body shots together.
But, honestly, I wanted more and for their moments to be deeper. I would have loved for Robin to been the one to grab Steve when he slipped off the Upside Down's radio tower and/or see her reaction to her best friend and platonic soulmate almost die and then relief when he didn't. And also a scene of just them after the Upside Down was destroyed and 18 months had passed since both of them survived. I guess the scene on the roof of the Squawk was nice. But the whole time, I was asking when we will get a moment with just Steve and Robin, no Nancy or Jonathan, where the just they just about their relationship and what it's like for them to be apart.
So, yeah...Feeling pretty down about all that. 😔
