OK the writers were actively crazy for this like for one they didn't even need to bring back the Roy Kent poster for continuity's sake. The whole thing could've very easily could have been written off as "oh of course Jamie took that down" either when he moved out or when he and Roy hated each other, or simply not mentioned again at all etc etc. but NO. Not only did they say "no, we're absolutely doing this," they also chose to use a photo of Roy that isn't even an action shot of him playing but instead a full body still image with his eyes staring intensely into the camera's (i.e., the viewer's) soul?! With a tiny ass Roy Kent signature on the side implying baby Jamie once met Roy?? And THEN they hung it on the wall directly in line of sight from Jamie's childhood bed and STILL said "hmmm not sure the message is clear enough" so also made sure to put it alongside a blatantly sexy Keeley poster on a wall of many other ~suggestive images~ . Finally they looked at each other and said "oh no what if people still mistake this as Jamie just really admiring Roy's football skills and only that, clearly" so then they wrote in Simon reiterating "Roy Kent always remains" I MEAN!!!!
