Note: friendly reminder before commenting, I am a real person trying my best and I do read comments and always try to improve. I added AI assisted disclosure to this tool. I want to share that I try my best to use AI intentionally since it has many cons. However, AI being positive and negative is just like almost every technological advance in history! Think about the internet or things like Amazon AWS that hosts most sites we use today. Or vehicles - pollution yet accessibility. I do not endorse the ethics of the AI companies just like I don't endorse the ethics of many many companies but yes I still use the internet and try to do my best to share what I personally found useful in my years as an artist.
As a nuanced discussion to AI, I have used it in positive ways to code faster than I used to by hand, find errors in my thinking to improve my clinical reasoning abilities to be a better, safer doctor (gumroad link a user had commented on) as well as create tools that may help others faster than I can do by hand (and I am a solo creator, no jobs stolen here!) I've even used AI to help me make tools that make patient education materials more readable and accessible to all. I have never used AI to train on my art or other artists and try to be very mindful of when I am using it and for what reason.
Hand coded sites are fun to do and a labor of love & still can find things that are mainly hand coded, for instance https://artres.xyz site has mostly CSS code that is from like 10 years ago and now built with astro.js (+a template) and formerly Hugo which is built off Go. I am stepping back from AI for environmental/ethical reasons, but like most technological advances, when leveraged properly, it can be useful and positive.
