What a great question, @everchangingotps​!

I think studying anatomy helps a lot. Facial muscles are a bit complex, and they move in different ways to make the frowns and smiles happen!

Here’s a few great resources I found:

Human Anatomy Fundamentals, Mastering facial Expressions - super comprehensive. Definitely worth the read!

I sketch super rough, and that’s okay!

Cleaner sketches may help my processes eventually, but I really try to keep the sketch stage as energy filled as I can, then refine later.

Under painting with tons of colors way more than you would like is fun and adds energy to the final piece

Okay, so I'm a day late for International Tiger Day... but hopefully 400+ new photos of three species of tigers makes up for it??

Amur Tigers got 200+ new photos (and at least four new individuals!)

Malayan Tigers got 105 new photos:
