When people think of climate change, it is often through the lens of pollution, or ozone depletion, or CFCs, and while these are all valid factors, few think of ocean currents as a major player as well. Check out Staff Writer Alena's analysis of one of the less known and policized factors that nevertheless influences our everyday life. Link in bio!

science? for the youths? for everyone? an idea?
ok guys. what would you say if i, but a wee child, were to start an online science magazine. for teens and young adults (or anyone who wants to read it lol) by teens and young adults. bringing new perspectives to stem issues and stem culture, from highly political stuff like climate change to industry-specific stuff like the discrimination faced by women and minorities in stem fields. we call it our science magazine. i actually have a really acute vision developed for this thing already, since really nothing like this yet exists (at least in my knowledge), so this is something i am e x t r e m e l y passionate about and will probably throw myself into, (ie i can handle layout, marketing, some writing, etc) but i would need a team of writers. i definently could not pay anyone, at least not yet, but it might look good on a resume? please please please tell me if you would be interested in being on the team. no formal writing or science experience would be necessary, just inquisition, passion, and drive. if i get some takers i can make a google form for more specific information, and if people are interested, i can post the vision statement i’ve written up (and the mock issue cover and website i made; already i’m in too deep), but for now please please please signal boost the shit out of this. for me. because i love all so much. also because i love science. ok thank you lol.
