Movie Music Tournament Round 2
Composers have a huge responsibility when they're hired to write music for movies. They need to set the right tone for not only the scene itself, but for the whole arc of the movie's storyline. Submitters sent in their favorite choices for movie music that set the tone in this way, and now you get to vote for the best one!

Hidden Figures: Ladies' March
Fiddler on the Roof: Finale
Hidden Figures is a 2016 American biographical drama film loosely based on the 2016 book by Margot Lee Shetterly, and follows three female African-American mathematicians, Katherine Goble Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson, who worked at NASA during the Space Race in the 1950s and 1960s. At first they are working at the bottom of the rung in the department, which is segregated by race and sex, and doing mathematical calculations without being told what they are for. Eventually they begin to prove their worth and move up in the team.
The music for the film was written by Hans Zimmer.
Fiddler on the Roof is a 1971 filmed version of the 1964 stage musical by the same name, which itself is based on Tevye and His Daughters by Sholem Aleichem. The storyline centers on Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman in early 20th-century Imperial Russia who is faced with the challenge of marrying off his five daughters amidst the growing tension in his shtetl.
With music originally by Jerry Bock, the score was adapted to film by John Williams.
Re-watching Apollo 13 for the nth time but the first time since I watched Hidden Figures for the first, second, third, fourth, nth time... That room, the Mission Control at NASA, that sea of white male faces in Apollo 13.
Thinking about that, and the dozens of black women who worked there in real life, who we saw in Hidden Figures.
Once you see the institutional racism you cannot unsee it.

When I was a kid, like 4 or 5, the first thing I knew I wanted to be was a space engineer. I didn't want to be in space, but I wanted to see it up close, and help others get there.
A while ago one of my professors had us watch "Hidden Figures" and for the first time in a while I cried watching everyone cheering, and the USA flag waving, while they watched a man they helped go into space. A few days ago I watched Project Hail Mary in theaters, and nearly sobbed in my seat several times over the most mundane things.
The only reason I can't pursue my dream career is, I am absolutely terrible at math. I hate it with every fiber of my being and it doesn't come naturally to me at all. I do not enjoy doing it even a little bit. But space is 98% math.
I have long since made peace with the fact that I just don't have the skill set to have my dream job, but I still get a little sad when someone asks me what my next step is and I have to say "teacher's assistant" or "concept artist" because that's all I'm good at.
I love space so much.
The issues with my media consumption is that I don’t enjoy space media (colonize our solar system! Go to the moon! Build rockets!) but I enjoy media in space (met this flipping alien bro! living on my sci fi space station! having adventures on different planets!)
I need to see an edit of the 2016 movie Hidden Figures set to RAYE’s Click Clack Symphony IMMEDIATELY
