okay. hereās what i want the buddie timeline to be (loosely) (in an ideal world)
9a: eddie questioning his sexuality, having more discussions with father brian about joy. buck enjoys being single.
9b: eddie coming to the conclusion that he is gay. he tells buck in the last episode. all this time, buck has been sleeping around and swearing to maddie that heās not in love with eddie because eddie is straight.
10a: buck and eddie drift apart. buck pulls back because the thought of eddie being gay (and what that could mean) is too much. eddie forces him to talk and they fight it out, buck claims he hasnāt pulled back. eddie says that he doesnāt want to go through this alone and buck crumbles. besties again, they donāt talk about more.
UNTIL. buck, karen, and hen take eddie to a gay bar. jealousy ensues. dancing ensues. something shifts. they know it has, but the next morning they agree that friends can be attracted to each other and still be friends. what they have is too strong to be ruined by something as silly as attraction.
cue 10b: a season full of YEARNING. MUTUAL PINING. they both know the other thinks theyāre hot but neither wants to act first.

it needs to build for 2 season for it to really hit, and iām so serious about that. one season for eddie to be gay, one for the yearning. any rushing will cheapen it.
