So not at all based on my part time job, but... what is Shane was the high strung leasing director for a landlord, who worked exclusively on luxury rentals. And Ilya was the totally infuriating (but also infuriatingly hot) head of Property Maintenance. They push each other's buttons because they are both very good at their jobs, but also have completely opposite styles.
Like Shane is by. the. book. He does not fuck around when it comes to contracts and real estate law and also that apartments should be turned over on a very tight timeline and maintained to per-fucking-fection. But will he do a deal based on a very complicated deck repair on an extremely tight deadline without asking anyone? Whatever the gets the goddamn lease signed.
And does Ilya charm the pants off all (and I do mean all) of the tenants and concierge and cleaning staff. They would die for him. But does he also ignore maintenance requests because he thinks they're stupid and the people asking for them are stupid and in Russia you would know how to change a damn filter on your refrigerator your damn self.
I don't know, but they are probably two of the most important and valued employees at the company but they are always throwing each other under the box at the weekly executive meeting and sending passive aggressive emails CCing literally everyone about whose fault it is that unit 763 was barely ready in time for a very expensive new short-term tenant.
Do they get told they need to start doing walkthroughs of vacant units together so they can stop blaming each other for every little thing that no one else actually gives a fuck about because they are always 98% occupied and with outstanding Google reviews? Do they bychance end up in a very elegantly furnished, vacant unit and accidentally fuck about all of it? And just, like, keep doing that over and over again in every single apartment as they become available until they have such insane feelings for each other but they're both so allergic to emotional honesty that it nearly kills them to actually admit that they are in love?
I don't know, just an idea.
