Fourth Wing Theory:

(WARNING: SPOILERS)

Venin aren't created by other venin. Instead, they are turned when someone decides to channel straight from the source of magic, instead of from dragons. So even if all the venin are vanquished, more venin could always be created.

Riders (like Jack Barlowe), decide to turn venin due to power imbalance. They believe they deserve more power, so they channel from the source to become additionally powerful.

This all starts with the dragons.

If riders weren't bonding the dragons, there would be no power imbalances between all the riders, so no one would ever have a reason to turn venin.

Because of this, I believe the dragons will leave the continent entirely by the end of the Empyrean series, so no more venin can be created.

...This theory sort of gives an HTTYD vibe, doesn't it?
