Who exactly is Salis and what is his relationship with Felix and Ollie? I've gathered that he's a coworker/professor of some sort, but can you elaborate on his character and personality? He seems sassy 🤭

So!! Basically Salis is a transfer professor from another university and he just so happens to land at the university Felix/Ollie works at👀 (he's a political science professor)
He's *that* professor you hear your roommate groan on about because he's such a stickler and MAKES his book mandatory reading for his course- he is a great teacher but he is sooooo self-centered, a pompous little shit who isn't afraid to step on toes if it means better for him😌
Thaaat's where he and Felix clash- Felix is a lot more chill because he's tenure twenty times over, he just lets things be which, has a lot of the faculty and students like him and tend to side with him on things (Felix is honestly very much like your grandpa who has seen The Horrors but is chill with it) .
One thing being allocating budgets/grants. Felix suggested that the English/History department be given the grant money do they could do something.
And Salis scoffed, thinking that his department would be getting support/votes by a landslide for that grant. Because ugh who is going to listen to a man who constantly looks like he should be getting ready for the home's bingo night, not in a faculty meetings!
Buuuut nope, Salis is surprised when everyone basically gives their vote to Felix's ideas!
That's kinda where their (one sided honestly) rivalry began👀 Salis was pisssssed that his ideas were overruled and of course decided instead of grumbling about it he was going to be a little shit to Felix-
Of course he does it in the co-worker way of being a nuisance but with those nasty undertones of barley hidden contempt xD
(Aka: scoffing whenever he sees Felix and making comments about every single thing Felix does)
Felix doesn't really let it bother him, he's been alive for so long these types of pompous asshats don't bother him- which...just makes Salis MORE grumpy because he's being sassy, he's being a bit of a dick but Felix just brushes him off like he's some rowdy first year student!!
Eventually the two find vaugely even ground- still contempt and certainly not besties/friends, more like coworkers who do drop by each other's offices to chat.
Salis kinda likes that Felix doesn't bend to him, how Felix can make retorts that have Salis' head spin. And Felix likes that Salis doesn't treat him like some delicate flower and how Salis will be a bit of a jerk to him- they kinda round each other out😌
Ollie doesn't like Salis, she hasn't like him since the day she met him buuut she'll be amicable for the sake of Felix. But if she ever saw Salis with his hands full and needs a door open? Well, she'll just open the door just enough for her to slip past xD
Bhvyvyuhby TLDR; Salis is your typical nepo-baby/daddy's money professor who acts all high and mighty, sharp tounge but seemingly thrawted by a senior professor who smells like baby powder😌
