i had no idea you were starting your tour in september, that's amazing! how are you feeling about it? excited? nervous? a bit of both? i can only imagine how much preparation must be going into it right now. i'd be really happy if you came to one of my shows in july. honestly, it would mean a lot to have you there, i think you'd have a great time, and i'd love to see your reaction afterward. no, i don't believe that for a second. the moment you step onto that stage, you become the star of the show. uh huh, are you really sure about that?

Can I say all of the above? Even if I've been on tour a couple of times before - there's always that build up of all the emotions, right? And making sure that it's something that you're proud of and wanting the fans to enjoy every moment. Renees shows are at the beginning of July - and I want to be there for her since she's been such a fantastic partner and supporting me so much with this album roll out. So anytime after that - I'll be at your show. Nope - I'd just be there as your guest and nothing else. Accept it. I'm positive. Nothing embarrassing ever has happened to me. Not falling through the stage, getting my hair caught on rings. Don't know what everyone talks about with that.

I don’t know if I’m taking over the world - I think that’s a little bit of a stretch but I do love seeing how people react to everything that comes out of the album, both the good and bad. I take the bad with a grain of salt. What feels crazy to me is the people who I admire so much wanting to actually work with me and come out on stage. That’s something that feels surreal.

Are you kidding me with the Robert Smith feature? You killed me with The Cure and then revived me with this duo. I'm so happy for you, Olivia. I know how much his music means to you and what a huge influence his band has been to your own writing. How did it feel when he officially agreed? I mean, your first duet and it's such a power move. @oliviarfm

I think I fainted when he said yes - I'm surprised at whatever floor I fell on doesn't have an Olivia sized hole in it. Maybe I should have kept the stage malfunction going and just fell into that. It makes me so happy that I've got work with someone that I admire so much. And that the album is going to be out for everyone in a few hours. You'll have to let me know what you think of it. All the theories about what the songs mean is going to make me laugh, probably.

i noticed how well you dodge in interviews. i wish i had disney pr training but i'm trying to get better about outright saying things when asked. i would probably die if i did that. okay, that's dramatic but i would feel bad. i'm always worried that that i'll have an asthma attack on stage, so i keep my inhaler hidden on me. hitting a ball and a lot of walking but i have great legs. i try but i'm not the best golfer. i'm not sure, we haven't talked in a few days. i'm good either way though. i ended up going out last night to the movies with a friend and had the best time. i'm almost done with the album so things are about to get busy on my end. i can't wait for you to hear it.

It's not Disney - I mean, a little bit of it is but a lot of it is just me wanting to keep my personal life a little more personal. People don't really need to know what's going on with that, do they? You get to pick and chose what sort of things you release out into the world, and that includes in interviews. You do have amazing legs - dancer ones. Not talking for a few days isn't too bad - if it gets to like, a week or two that's when you gotta worry. Sounds like you've been a busy woman - glad that it's in terms of fun, though over work. Although I am excited to hear what the new music will bring for you.

See, that’s exactly how I’d describe it too. Just enough adventure to make it memorable and just enough downtime to convince yourself you're a much calmer person than you actually are. I can't believe your album is almost out! It feels like five minutes ago everyone was talking about the first single and now we're already counting down days. That's so exciting. Are you nervous at all? Or have you reached that point where you've heard the songs so many times that you're just ready for people to finally have them and stop being the only one carrying the secret around?

If I try and say that I’m calmer than I am then I know that I’ve gone into full delusion territory and everyone is in trouble. Pretty sure I don’t know the meaning of calm. I like being a little chaos demon. I’m a little nervous about it cause a lot of the songs talk about my feelings in my first real grown up and in love relationship but it feels good to put those feelings into songs, too. It’s how I process everything. I like having the little secrets and watching peoples reactions to them when they come out. It’s funny to see everyone get a little crazy. Are we expecting any music from you anytime soon? Or are you taking a proper break from everything?

We made it to the second round, but got sweeped by the Canes who are now in the finals, so... at least we didn't lose to just anybody. We fought a tough battle, though. We're a young team and gave them a good fight, we just don't have the experience yet. Maybe next year. That's okay, you've got til September to figure out all the hockey stuff, ready for the next season.

I mean, is it just anybody that you lose to whenever you get to that stage of the competition? Cause only the best teams get there, right? At least you gave time to regroup and train for the next year. I’m sure you’ll make it further. September I start my tour so I won’t be able to go to any games this next season. I’ll cheer from afar.

nothing too exciting since getting home! a whole lot of lazing about outside of work when i can, but also some fighting for my life trying to get tickets to at least one of your shows in london... like i'm so happy for you that you're solidly sold out, but i'm very sad for me.

I’ve just done my first ever collab for my new album - not something that I thought I’d ever say, honestly but it was a lot of fun to work with another musician in that way. So I’m not going to say no but please, spare yourself all of that torture. We don’t be needing that.

i saw and i'm super excited for you. it's always fun trying to remember where you're at especially if you have to do an interview there. i'm always afraid i'll say the wrong name. london is always nice and i love you get to spend some time together. yes, that's the one. we're going to go golfing together and i don't want to embarrass myself. he is and he's real cute too.

I don’t get nervous about that in interviews but I do when I’m on tour. Imagine shouting out the wrong city? I don’t think I’d ever recover from something like that, honestly. I’m sure that you won’t embarrass yourself - golf is just hitting a ball at the end of the day. You can’t 100% control where it’s going to go. Oh? Is there something there?

wouldn't you like to know, weather boy? kidding. i've been working. they're holding me hostage, liv. i wake up, i film all day long, i go back to my hotel and crash. there's no time to be a menace, unfortunately. fully plan on making up for that once i'm a free man again. what have you been up to?

Sounds like pure torture. How are you going to survive? Do you not get an apartment when you’re filming? I couldn’t imagine living out of a hotel for months on end in one place. I’ve been doing album promo. In the full swing of that, now. London, Barcelona and New York have become like home bases for me. And spending time with Renee - gotta make sure that girlfriend gets attention before she becomes annoying. Said with nothing but affection.

nothing wrong with having a competitive streak. i've been doing so much that it's crazy! we did a performance at the AMAs, filmed for celebrity substitute teacher, dropped a little documentary type video for our coachella performance, and now we're just doing some rehearsing and enjoying time in LA. what about you??

I would ask if you're going to be slowing down anytime soon but I feel like that would be hypocritical of me. I'm so proud of you girls and everything that you're doing at the moment. It's amazing. I've been in London and Barcelona - promo for the new album.

I feel like that movie gets people crying no matter how many times that you've seen it. Aw, thank you so much! The only one I can kind of talk about right now is the reboot for 13 going on 30. Which should be out next year at the earliest.
