gura w the flu and a sore throat so he’s only using the feed to communicate instead of talking out loud, but his augments are affected by him being sick and are slightly on the fritz so every time he messages someone it gives them a little static shock and/or makes them sneeze

murderbot insists it can tell he’s feverish without scanning him because his feed messages “feel hot” and everyone else is like. that doesn’t sound right but I don’t know enough about how feed implants feel to dispute it. gurathin would confirm that yeah it is a thing and it feels really weird except that would involve admitting that mb is right and he does have a fever

when a character with medical trauma gets injured and has to be coaxed into letting someone else take care of them. when they have to be calmed down before their wounds can even be looked at. when the entire process of being treated is an exercise in agonizing vulnerability, because they have to trust someone else to care for them without hurting them. that’s all thank you.

Hey so I know we All Know This but I will NEVER be over a character being feverish and delirious and making No sense. I will never be over a glittery-eyed, shivering, distressed character weakly gripping another's arm and asking them questions they don't know the answer to, and probably don't mean anything at all. I will never be over characters calling out for people either long gone or right next to them, but unrecognizable in their delirium. I will never be over a character crying in frustration and fear over something in their head they can't explain to whoever is helping them, and all they can do in return is stroke their hair and shush them gently.

How do we think Three feels about the fact that Murderbot was the one to work on a documentary that saved an entire colony, when Three is the one who appreciates non fiction more??

I do hope that the ‘I don’t want to be a pet robot’ interaction makes it into the tv show because of how much of a hypocrite it would make gurathin based on his show characterization. “I don’t think anyone wants [to be a pet robot],” says the only character who would absolutely love to be somebody’s pet robot

I had read it as "nobody wants you to be a pet," too, and am now cackling at the difference between "I don't want you to be a pet because I don't think a person should be a pet" and "I don't want you to be a pet because I NEED THIS OKAY."
