My mother says that fanfiction doesn’t count as reading because “it isn’t nearly as good as the stuff that’s published. You’re not going to find something online that will win a Booker Prize.” Please reblog if you count fan fiction as reading, or if the fanfiction you’ve read is equally as good as published novels. I can confidently say that I’ve read PLENTY of fanfics out there that are several times better than some of the published shit I’ve read in comparison. (I mean jfc just look at Twilight and that ungodly shit show for starters.) Hell, the same could be same for a number of some the “highly acclaimed published classics” too. So don’t ever think that just because what you write is fanfiction that automatically your writing isn’t “good enough” unless it’s all original content.  

My problem is that I’ll randomly get really motivated to do shit, but it’s within such a small window of time that I must do the thing at that EXACT moment and if I don’t the moment passes and I’ll have to wait like at least whole month for another random burst of motivation to do the thing ya feel
