I been thinking a lot about what it's like to recover you know, like the process it is going to therapy and try your best to be okay and to get help, and every time I think about it that line that says "nobody will ever know the violence it took me to become this gentle" comes to my mind. like you have this person in front of you who you have to trust with the things u are struggling with and this person is going to let you know how you should act for your wellbeing, it's like "you should stay away from this person because it's hurting you" "you should change this behavior because is bad for u" you should do this and that for your wellbeing, even if its not what you want, even if its not what ur entire being wants! and I think that's the moment when it becomes really violent, you have to learn how to stop yourself from doing what you been doing for so much time to protect yourself (like bad habits, toxic behaviors, certain attitudes, harmful coping mechanisms etc.) and you have to stop yourself from wanting certain things that are bad for you, and you should teach yourself how to be vulnerable and you should alllow yourself to be tender and feel without judgment, and act out of fear and speak out loud and you should stop yourself from a lot of things and then you have to face such hard truths and learn how to deal with things in a healthy way and change your mind and you do have breakdowns and you feel so angry and sad and guilty and also tired!! it's such tiring process, but you are doing it for yourself and for being okay....... and I think that's such brave thing to do, helping yourself and wanting to be better and healthy and just everything that involves it, it's such violent but brave and powerful act that can't lead you anywhere but when you really are destinated to be. And I think it's also something to be proud really proud about!

Today I had a lengthy phone conversation with the IT manager (who works down the hall, that lazy ass) about getting some projects we've been working on together done before he leaves the company.
He jokingly threatened to kill me if I sent him files with errors in them that would make more work on his end. I laughed and said "oh ok. Got it." To which he replied he was only joking and he would actually just plant a virus on my computer.
I told him I preferred being murdered. Silence followed. I was happy to let that linger. Then I hear him mumble to himself that that is something he DEFINITELY would need to outsource.
A couple hours later an announcement went out that he had decided to stay with the company. I am not terrified this man is going to murder me.
