If I really like a fanfic I download it and add it to my collection, because I live in constant fear of being like what was that one fic? And seeing 'this work no longer exists' in my bookmarks.

Except it's taking up a LOT of space on my computer that I have to use for work projects, so I'm thinking I'll have to move it all to some sort of external storage. Except then if I lose it, thatd be like the personal burning of the library of Alexandria. I would also then live in fear of someone stumbling across my thumb drive and finding it exclusively full of fanfiction. Or reformating it and erasing my precious stories.

It's very much a non issue in the grand scheme of things.

Alas.
