Project KHRe(:born!!!)
@amiahoshi (Sou) and I decided to call the project "Katekyo Hitman Re:born!!!"*. We call it either Re:born!!! or KHRe for short. This is my main brainworm cultivating mega-project that has several sub-projects under it (including the webcomic). Anyway, read below for more details on this project!
*Note: Inspired from T/oky/o Gh/oul's title, where it had "T/G:re". And it really just emphasizes the "Re" in "Reborn", meaning "again, do over" - mainly since it's a retelling. MOST importantly...it's very easy to remember for me and my goldfish brain.
So far, the major ambitious projects I have under this are as follows:
Oniyanagi Wiki
This is a wiki site I made in Miraheze and I have already set it to public, so you can visit it through this link (or the one I linked above in the OC Profile section).
All characters/items/stories information related to KHRe is planned to be compiled here bit by bit, including certain canon characters (due to the inevitable canon divergence).
I learned a lot from making this wiki.
KHRe Webcomic
A webcomic that features KHRe's story. KHRe is sort of a similar universe to canon, but not exactly the same. There will be additional characters, which are our OCs, then there will also be modifications/additions to the story/lore as well (e.g. certain arcs/chapters will be rearranged, certain events will happen earlier).
Tsuna retains his protagonist role in KHRe as well (I'm so fond of him, my 2nd fave...), but he will also be joined in this role by the twin bosses from Oniyanagi, Kana and Kurumi.
Oniyanagi's full 10th Generation line-up can be found here.
Just like canon, it starts with Daily Life Arc. I will draw chapters for as far as I can get into the story. One of my main goals in making this webcomic (besides being able to draw both KHR and OC art at the same time) is to improve my art.
Into the Looking Glass
This is a Horror RPGMaker game that features a prequel story for KHRe through Kurumi's childhood (around 8-9 years old). Long story short, it does follow the classic formula of a kid exploring a scary place by themselves.
The title is very much still subject to change, but I referenced Alice in Wonderland for it. Because it's Baby Kurumi (Alice) stumbling in an otherworldly place (Wonderland) and the events that take place moving forward changes her life.
This will take a very long time to complete, but I wanna finish it eventually because I'm also a big fan of Horror RPGMaker games and I've always wanted to make one.
KHRe Test Game (no title yet)
Yes...that's right. I'm editing this now after three months and still no title. 👍
This will be a very short RPGMaker Game with Tsuna as MC and it's definitely less ambitious than the previous two listed here. This is just me testing and learning the features of RPGMaker before I go do more work for Into the Looking Glass.
The game is just about Tsuna being invited to the Ninomiya Estate by Kurumi and he has a very "fun" time there 😂👍✨ (just like a normal Daily Life Arc episode~). It won't be horror, but maybe for Tsuna it will be 😀.
Other Projects
As for other projects that are even more less ambitious and more doable in a shorter time, I do have MV Projects for KHRe plus a few shorts (like this one) I plan on drawing them in. I listed my priorities here (along with the major projects I mentioned) and will try to update when I can (at least monthly).

Putting my votes here + reasoning, because this poll resulted into an interesting discussion with my dearest friend 💖
FAVORITE: Byakuran. Or Mukuro, it switches depending on the day. I'm feeling very Byakuran today, so I voted for him. It's a difficult to choose between them tbh, both of their characters appeal to me a lot.
BEST WRITTEN: Mukuro. With how consistent his appearances are throughout the series, I think he's the most solid choice among the main antagonists.
COOLEST: Mukuro. It's always hype whenever he shows up, what else can I say? 🙂↕️
MOST SKILLED: Byakuran. Though, Mukuro follows him closely with the Six Paths of Reincarnation, I think the knowledge & skills Byakuran acquired from the different parallel worlds/timelines has much more weight in this category.
MOST THREATENING: Byakuran. For me, no other arc can ever really compare with the hopelessness/helplessness of the situation in early Future Arc, when Tsuna&co just arrived there. And we got Byakuran to thank for that. Plus the fact that he defeated them one way or another in other timelines except only solely the current one? Yeah.
It's not a category in the poll, but in terms of a Best Design poll, Daemon would take it for me, specifically with the horror of his final form. Some kudos to Mukuro too, because that's his body (lol).
I love how i was like "xanxus sweep, obviously 🙄😌", meanwhile you're like "xanxus who??" lmao. 😂
More seriously tho, that's an interesting point you made about mukuro being the best written!! More screentime would naturally mean more of the character to discover (or should mean that anyway i guess, depending on how the character is actually written lol). I also like how it allowed his characterization to grow past "that one time he was the main villain of the arc" box, if you know what i mean. Like, with the others, we mostly know them from when they were tsuna's enemies, and tho by the end of the arc it's not the case anymore and they grew past their animosity towards him to something at the very least neutral, their characterization kind of get "stuck" there even as the story moves forwards and they get to appear in it again.
Meanwhile, mukuro IS given more depth to him whenever he appears again, yeah!!! Or at least, the most out of any of them (because, like you said, he's the one who gets to make the most reappearances past his arc). Damn ein, you might have just convinced me he IS, in fact, the best written haha!!
(i do still gotta stand with my boy enma tho. <3 because when it comes to how much of their respective characterisation + their respective dynamic with tsuna were actively explored by the writing and narrative, imo enma ones up him.)
As for how you separated the categories for the last poll, yeah. It made me realize i could have worded that better haha. So when you look at it separately from each other, you end up with different answers, i agree. But i actually meant something like "who do you think was the best at being an antagonist all around". So like, if you add it all up, both their strengths and weaknesses, who comes out on top?
Taking byakuran as the most threatening as an exemple, for sure he definitely was. But then, when it came to his actual final fight with tsuna, imo it was a bit anticlimactic (the stakes of the fight on the other hand + the plot twists during it WERE really good, but i thunk it's cheating a bit to attribute it all to byakuran's fighting skills in and of themselves haha.) His characterisation/motives were also mostly left in the dark, barely touched upon, so yeah.
(NOT trying to say your answer is wrong btw zhzkzj!!!! Just clarifying myself and what i actually meant. ^^)
Oh, Hope please don't let my vote and reasoning for it affect yours, as that wasn't my intention at all hahaha Though, it'll be quite a compliment if my words were able to add upon the pov that you already have of the series /gen 🙂↕️
And no worries, thank you for the clarification on that third poll! Since "Who do you think was the best at being an antagonist all around?" is leaning more on the objective side of the spectrum then my choice for it would be Byakuran then! 😆😆😆 (/lh but also /srs shdfsdfghsc)
In term of being the most threatening, I'll have to firmly disagree with what you mentioned about Byakuran. Rather than cheating, it's actually even underestimating him, to attribute all the threat that he carries within him to solely his fighting skills.
Like you said, we'll have to add everything up all around. Because besides fighting skills, there's also his manipulative nature, cunningness, and intellectual/strategic capabilities, which allowed him to fully utilize the Mare Rings' miracle and to become the world-ending threat that he is. And he is also the only "final boss antagonist" in KHR that's succeeded multiple times in his role.
Then, next we have his motive, which is ultimately "To become god" because he was quite simply bored. From a writing standpoint, this being his motive doesn't necessarily negatively affect his characterization (which is why we have compelling characters like Light Yagami). In the end, the motive itself wasn't delved into further, because it was so simple that there was no need to do so.
As for his characterisation being mostly left in the dark/barely touched upon, I find that to be conflicting with how we had the entire Future Arc Saga to witness/experience his character (as an antagonist). Unless I'm misunderstanding what you meant by "characterisation"? If we're looking at it on a backstory perspective, then it should be the same case as his motive (wasn't delved into further, because there was no need to).
That aside! I really like how you emphasized this certain aspect of Mukuro:

As this is also another aspect of Byakuran that I found to be nicely written about him. Where we find out in the Curse of the Rainbow Arc that after being eviscerated (rip bozo) by Tsuna, his "consciousness"/"existence" actually somehow continued way after that. Then, met Yuni and had a development that anchored him back to reality. Turns out, that while the main story "cameras" aren't on them, this same guy who tried to break Yuni's soul and saw her only as a tool, now is the same guy whose purpose now is to protect her heart.
Anyway, just needed to point some stuff out about Byakuran! And tbh I actually like Xanxus a lot too, it's just that he got outdone for me in the given categories, when I sat down and really thought about it😆😆😆 It's just an inevitable thing when it comes to polls and rankings like these.
For Enma, I also think so about his character! His heartwarming dynamic with Tsuna and the battle that they had made me very attached to his character. He just wasn't on the list of options for me in this type of discussion as it involves main antagonists, and he wasn't the main antagonist for the Inheritance Ceremony Arc. I can respect that you did include him in your consideration though!
Thank you for your reply on this (I was so used to using LRT/QRT on the bird app, I didn't expect one to indulge me here on this tbh jdhdhdhd). Discussing these aspects of KHR is very fun for me, so I end up yapping a lot. It's been a while since I did so here though, so I hope didn't come across as too serious. My intent when discussing stuff like this are all /lh in varying extents at the end of the day.

For those who are new here this is a transmigration KHR fanfiction taking place pre-arcobaleno curse featuring my original character, Apple that is told in a non-linear format! There will be KHR related hijinks and some oc/canon ships so please proceed with caution!!
I drew Lilith as a demon <3 I haven't drawn her is so long, but she definitely got a glow up. Artistic growth will do that. Minus the horns, tail, and fangs, this is her updated design. Idk when or if I'll be able to do an official redraw so this will have to do for now.
Au Rambles: Lilith is part succubus and part high-level demon (her father's family is demon aristocracy). She 100% ends up becoming contracted to Lal at some point. Much to Colonnello's horror and Reborn's annoyance.
If my next work performance review goes well, I think I can safely take away that hiatus/semi-hiatus status on my pinned. Since that means, I'm healthy enough to juggle tasks a good amount again without feeling too sick. Maybe this October? Just in time for OCtober, maybe??? I'm still looking forward to posting something for ArtAugust tho, let me see!

An update on commissions! Work is finally starting to chill again (keyword "starting") plus I'm done from physical therapy for now, so I can squeeze in a bit more time on focusing on comms!
For the one I have in-progress, I should be able to finish it by tomorrow. Then, by Friday, I can start and finish the one Rough Sketch comm in queue. After that, I'm hoping I could finish drafts for a colored sketch and a full illustration.
I think after this week, I'll be closing them since that's all the extra comms workload I can accommodate for now! I should be able to earn another $100 that I can send to Osiria 🥹💖
I'll be updating the prices again for whenever I open for a next batch because including the 5% VGen Fee there is bothering me, since it's not a rounded out $X.00 anymore! 😭😭😭 I thought I could handle it, but it's too painful to look at! I'll just add in the 5% when sending the invoice.

ArtAugust is a casual art event organised by me and @rahxe-things which is running for the entire month of August. It’s intended for art practice and to just have fun with creating something, so let’s make some art together folks!

Overview
Each day has two prompt options; you choose between one of the prompts and draw your own interpretation of it. If you like the look of both prompts, don’t worry! On free days you can choose whatever prompt you like, including prompts from previous days. You can also make up your own prompt, sky’s the limit!

The last week is basically full of free days, meaning instead of specific prompts you can pick and choose between the following options:
Option 1) Pick a prompt from a previous day which you haven’t done yet.
Option 2) Let fate decide and spin the wheel, which has many prompts that didn’t make it in the prompt lineup this year.
Option 3) Make up your own prompt. Got inspired and are itching to draw something specific? Sure go ahead, show us what you’ve got!
You can either stick to one category for the full week or you can switch it up and pick a different option every day, go with what fits you best!

Q & A
Do I need to participate every day?
Not at all! This is supposed to be a fun and casual event, so make sure to pace yourself according to your needs. You can participate every other day, or once a week or even just once over all, that’s all completely fine. Just remember to have fun and take breaks!
What are the “Break Days” in between each week?
They’re exactly that! Since there are three extra days in August, too short to dedicate to another week of art prompts, we decided to put them between each week as a form of breather. Participants are encouraged to rest during these days, but are also welcome to use them as catch-up days if you fell behind.
Can I draw in advance?
Sure! If you’d like to prepare ahead of time, go ahead. Just make sure to not post in advance. You can post your work either on the day of the prompt or afterwards if you couldn’t make it in time.
What art forms are allowed?
Digital, traditional, photography and the list goes on. If you want, you can sculpt or knit or do a creative dance, we are not picky. And while most of these prompts are tailored for art, if you want to get creative and use them as writing prompts, then write away my friend!
Important note: The use of generative AI is strictly prohibited during the event. The purpose of this event is to encourage self-improvement. Use of AI would be counter productive to that.

Do I need to make finished art?

Can I spin the wheel multiple times in case I don’t like the prompt I get the first time?
Also no problem. I do encourage you to try the prompt you get initially since this event is about trying new things but if the art is simply not arting, then go ahead and spin again until you find something that works for you.
Can I post my entry outside of Tumblr and share it on other social media platforms?

I've already been messing around a lot with textured brushes recently, so I decided to experiment with patterns for a bit. The first one is literally just me messing around with the symmetry tool and basic ibis paint settings which was fun. Very uncomplicated. You can just draw whatever abstract thing comes to mind.
Then I made a plaid pattern because I'm an extreme sucker for plaid and since I figured out the basic settings I can now make my custom plaid patterns whenever the fuck I want! Success!
I then applied patterns to some clothes, I had a lot of fun with those strawberry socks ngl. I lowkey want them now...
If you've been on this blog for a while then you know I fucking love drawing fire an unhealthy amount. I could have chosen the fire prompt for sure but hey this is supposed to be practice and I draw water less then fire so SPLASH SPLASH MOTHERFUCKERS!
I wanted to draw different forms so we have a wave like thing, a waterdrop and rain flames and I DON'T CARE IF RAIN FLAMES ARE TECHNICALLY FLAMES THEY CAN MAKE YOU WET AND THEY LOOK LIKE WATER SO THERE!
Conclusion: I fucking love drawing water an unhealthy amount too. It's actually just as much fun as drawing fire, I'm in love.

1920s AU where Reborn goes to America after receiving a call that his mother passed. He expects to grieve with his little brother, and to find what little scraps of comfort one can with family when one of their own passes. Instead, he discovers Cecil is missing. The only clue he has is an eerie photo he's never seen before with an address on the back. With each piece of the puzzle he uncovers, the more the photo changes. Getting worse the closer he gets to finding Cecil and unraveling the truth of his disappearance and their mother's untimely death.
Summoning fall with a creeping drawing <3 I don't think I've tried greyscale before, so it was fun experimenting with it. My favorite thing is when there are little touches color. Perhaps there being some left is a sign of hope?
I think I've said this before, but I'm working on redoing Cecil's design. I like his eye shape here but idk if I'm a fan of his face shape. It still feels too young. I'll have to work on making it sharper next time. And making his bangs more...idk if this is the right word but layered?
Anyways it was good practice, and I think I have a better idea of what direction I want to go with his redesign.
So. I fucking hate drawing hands. But I draw hands more often then I draw feet mostly because when I do a full body the characters then to wear shoes. Which means in the name of challenging myself I sketched some feet.
The start was kinda rough but I did get the hang of it eventually? And ngl I feel like these where easier to draw than hands but I might just be delusional.
Tbh most of the time my problem isn't drawing the hand my problem is drawing the hand with the rest of the body. Proportions suck. Perspective sucks too I guess.

Vetooo!!! Do you know about O/ni no Hana/yome? I was thinking of like an AU related to it, and then, ByakuAya is one of the ships I thought that would fit an AU adapting how this series' world works dvfhdvhfvsd 🥴🥴🥴🫶✨
If you don't, then tldr context is that Ayakashi there ended up having higher political & economical power than humans (they went out of hiding to help humans). There's this super rare phenomenon of them being able tell if someone's "The One" for them (+if they have children = improves family's spiritual power smth like that). The ayakashi ends up being absolutely smitten, even to unreasonable degrees. Only the ayakashi though, the human can't really tell for themselves.
HELLO???? Ok I have a thing to watch now nyehehehe
just a heads up, the animanga itself has a cinderella-like story at least in the parts ive seen tbh fmgddmdhfn (the "villains" ive seen are also aneurysm inducing)
