So this is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, partly to help myself keep tracks of new releases I’m interested in and partly because I honestly just want an excuse to talk more about books.

September is a pretty hectic month for publishing apparently, because there’s a lot of releases this month and so I’m pretty much 100% certain that I’ve missed some. I might do a follow-up post to…

Becca’s Bookoplathon, Space Opera September, Buzzwordathon & More

So I’ve decided that I want to join and participate in a couple of different readathons this month. Specifically Becca’s Bookoplathon and Space Opera September(this is the prompt video) (who are both month-long readathons) as well as Buzzwordathon. 

I sort of want to see if I can fit in any shorter readathons as well, but I think I’ll pick my books for the three I mentioned first and see…

mae: sometimes when you pull knives on people, they get this impression that you're going to hurt them, and then they're completely terrified. crazy, i know!

nick: okay. look. *unsheathes one of his knives*

jamie: which part of 'completely terrified' did you translate to 'show us your knives, nick!' don't show me your knives, nick. i have no interest in your knives.

nick: this is a quillon dagger. that's a knife with a sword handle. i like it because it has a good grip for stabbing.

jamie: why do you say these things? is it to make me sad?

nick: i didn't have you cornered. you could've run. and this dagger doesn't have an even weight distribution; it's absolute rubbish for throwing. if i had any intention of hurting you, i'd have used a knife i could throw.

March TBR.

So I decided to go ahead and use March as my “catch up” month like I mentioned in my post about the Sequel-a-thon. I have so many books that I’ve gotten distracted from and stopped in th middle of that I figure focusing on finshing some wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I also figure it works well while doing a readathon since most of these books are already started, although I haven’t gotten as far into all of them.

I do have more books that I could add if I finish these ones, but, between this and my Sequel-a-thon I didn’t want to overload either.

Also, just for funsies, I added a bit below showing how far I’m into each of these books.

This is my current TBR for the Sequel-a-thon that starts tomorrow (March 1st). I don’t actually have that many series I need to catch up on, but that’s because I have so many more books that I just need to finish so I might do a small readathon for myself focusing on those books sometime in March as well.

The King of Attolia is the only book I know I’ll be listening to on audio, the rest I don’t know yet. Aside from Obisidio these are also all fantasy so I have a feeling I might need to make sure that the rest of the books I read this month are a little more varied or I’ll probably be all fantasied out by the end of this.

#AYEARATHON – Pick a Color TBR

One of the things I wanted to do more of this year was to join readathons. Preferably ones that aren’t too long since I tend to falter a bit the longer they are.

One readathon that I’ve known of for awhile and wanted to join is the #AYEARATHON which is a readathon that happens once a month with different themes each month.

5 Books I’d like to pick up again in 2020

It happens more often than I care to admit, I pick up a book, fully intending to finish it ASAP and then, for whatever reason, I put it down and I don’t get back to it. Yet, it’s not because I dislike it or that I’m having a hard/bad time reading it. I mentioned in my Reading Goals for 2020 that I wanted to attempt to reading at least 1 book from several different GoodReads Choice Awards categories in order to help me branch out a little.
