Hey let’s do a yuri readathon!! There’s a lot of yuri manga that I’ve been meaning to get to and thought it might be fun to do a readathon focusing on yuri/gl/baihe. It’ll be super casual. Just a bunch of yuri fans reading and posting about yuri!
It’ll take place from March 28 to April 4th. Starting and ending midnight your time.
Yuri usually refers to Japanese works, but it’s not like I’m gonna track anyone down and make sure they’re only reading yuri manga. There’s so much great GL from around the world. I was meaning to emphasize illustrated works though, so stuff like manga, manhwa, webtoons, manhua, graphic novels, etc.
If you want to participate, but you’re new to yuri (or are indecisive like me), here’s a few prompts to get you started:
Monster yuri — Read a work where one or more of the main characters isn’t human.
Ocean yuri — Read a work that takes place in or by the ocean. Or that has the staple aquarium date!
Hyped yuri — Time to finally get your hands on that yuri everyone’s been talking about. This ofc will depend on what internet circles you run in.
These are in no way required. Like I said, this readathon is chill and causal. The prompts are just something for guidance and fun for those who like prompts with their readathons (me).
