OCPD Vents and Rants

Here you can send in Vents without the risk of judgement.

I have made this because there is far too little awareness about OCPD and even less blogs that let you vent without the risk of anyone making a huge deal about it or possibly even getting hate for things that sometimes you just have little control over.

Only vents pertaining to or caused by having OCPD should be submitted. For tagging purposes, any vent or submission that doesn't mention a specific disorder will be tagged with OCPD tags as default. You can also vent about other disorders that can come comorbid with OCPD, so a vent about OCPD and NPD or AvPD or any other one, would also be a permissible submission, but a mention of such additional disorders would be appreciated so I can tag accordingly.

I also accept "OCPD Culture Is [...]" submissions, Rants and Confessions since there are so little OCPD blogs available catering to these.

Vents containing topics like SH as well as Suicidal/Homicidal urges or thoughts will only be accepted if you trigger warn your submission beforehand (Just write a TW before your vent). This blog is not your instrument for threats or other such content though, so vents that go too far into threatening, hateful, insulting or harmful territory, will be deleted.

Vents might take a while to post as I am not online 24/7 so take that into account and be patient.

For the sake of transparency I want to say that this blog is run by an anti-endo, suspecting DID system with OCPD, AvPD and a few other disorders, including a Cluster B PD, so it can sometimes come to delays during times of dissociation or when I forget things. Please keep my stance in mind. I do not want to forbid anyone of other stances to submit posts because there are so little OCPD blogs available, but any ableism or clearly endo stuff will be deleted, as this blog isn't for that stuff anyways.

Due to the aforementioned blog's nature, there is no DNI. We also support researched self-dx. I do not want any hate towards any of our other cluster A/B brethren! If any of that makes you uncomfortable, then block me. This is not a place for syscourse or any other discourse, this is just a place to vent, so any asks about or mentioning it, will be deleted. Any hate will be pointed at and laughed at, then mercilessly mocked before being deleted.

I feel like OCPD explains a lot of my unfavourable behaviour that has existed since i was very little and also the ones that have popped up quite recently due to college putting my ADHD symptoms into overdrive.

The thing is, i can't exactly relate to a portion of OCPD culture because i think my ADHD i just really fucking bad (which honestly i am kind of glad the OCPD is there to manage it a little but its not enough and it just ends up tormenting me even more) and so I'm not like all figured out in life and that organized because my nature is very spontaneous and messy. That's probably the ADHD speaking.

This is really all over the place sorry basically i really think i have OCPD, but i think i struggle to relate to some symptoms/behaviour/whatever because they get overshadowed by my ADHD. Thats it, really.

Usually i see it as OCPD being the actual me in charge, and ADHD being the reckless child controlling my body. OCPD is there to punish ADHD for fucking us over but also sometimes OCPD gets out of control too and starts feeling very strong improper emotions that we shouldn't be feeling and it sucks because OCPD is the one that should be in charge so there's noone else to slap it and say hey this is wrong stop that cause i am aware that what we feel is improper but also i agree with the feeling and i can't stop it but i know its wrong this is very all over the place sorry again

I have actually struggled with posting this. I do not know where you get those "types" from and I was very conflicted with the way you describe someone else as being the 'hostile' type as I do want to mostly share information that doesn't include any poppsychology/pseudopsychological terms, because I do not want to share harmful views about the disorder or any other disorders here. I want to avoid misinformation and actually spread real information, we all know there's way too much misinformation out there anyway.

the fact that I can't do any basic chores. dishwasher, nope, if I don't fill the entire thing with dishes that go in their assigned places, then I straight up won't do it. clean my room, unthinkable. I don't have a good enough organization system so there's nowhere to put stuff. eating, the food touched so now I have to throw it all away.
