Children will never have sex! Children should never participate in decisions about their own health and safety! The idea of sexual intercourse, consent giving, compulsion, domestic violence, and emotional and verbal abuse will be presented in a “secure, risk-free way” and if you get attacked, it’s going to be fine.

So not only are you about to have sex; you’re likely not going to be doing it safely, with any education about associated disease, prevention, or help, and will be so ashamed of pursuing this you will very likely conceal even parts of your risk-taking from medical professionals out of “vulgarity” and sheer mortification.

“This is school, not the real world” apparently are mutually exclusive and no one can be having sex, be in an abusive relationship, or develop addictions. Also child predators, family abuse and molestation, and “attacking children” is 10/10 what happens all the time and not talking about it only makes the statistics more skewed as more people refuse to come forward.

So yeah. This is a PERFECT metaphor for any parents who don’t see the value of “vulgar” sex education and preach abstinence only. Just because you learn defensive spells doesn’t mean you’ll have to use them. But don’t you feel better your kids knowing what might happen and having at least an iota of understanding?
