Hey y'all, a couple of folks are saying they aren't able to find 'Super Resolution' setting to opt out as a viewer. Though the Google Help Center says it should be found under the Quality section, I can't be sure if this is an issue with how it's being rolled out. If anyone has more insight, please feel free to add to this post!

Was just informed by my mom that I do in fact have ADHD and the reason I thought I didn’t was because ever since I was seven whenever I got super energetic my mom would have me go chop wood so now when I’m feeling The ADHD I go chop wood and I thought it was just some sort of routine I started when I was little and wanted to blow off steam

I’d also like to point out that my sister has a really hard time staying present (I can’t remember the term because we’ve always called it Tethered at my house) and whenever she’s feeling Untethered my mom has her knead bread and make syrup because they’re repetitive and easy things to do that ground her

Now that I’m thinking about it- my brother has days where he doesn’t talk and doesn’t eat unless he’s prompted, and on those days my mom sits him down in the fish pond in the backyard and plays Mozart and because he’s so used to that being his wake up he always comes back in after like an hour rambling about random things

Oh yeah and when it rains my mom has a required hour where we all have to go outside and run around and whoever finds the most worms for the garden wins and then we go inside and my mom makes us tea and we watch Studio Ghibli movies

Wait!!! When one of us has a bad day at school we make a fire in the backyard and roast homemade sausages and my mom tells us stories until we laugh and then she tucks is in bed like we’re five again and sings us songs

how do you tell someone "I'm not ignoring you, I'm just disconnected from reality rn and the days are all blurred together and I feel completely apathetic towards everyone/everything around me so it's really hard for me to maintain a conversation" without saying that?

i wish people would normalize being lost in life and just not knowing anything. not knowing what you’re passionate about, where you want to live, what you want to do, where you want to go— or what lies next. as a society, we normalized going to school, finding a passion, getting a job, finding a partner, getting married, having kids, working hard to earn an honest living. but what about when shit just doesn’t go that way? you really just don’t know. and what’s even worse is, you don’t know why you don’t know or even where to start so you feel alone. you feel as though you’re a disappointment to your family. as if you failed in life. but you haven’t, it’s okay, to not know. to be lost. you have your whole life ahead of you to figure things out. patience is a virtue. there is no time limit on life. you don’t need to rush. don’t allow society to fixate the narrative of having all your shit together at a certain age. it isn’t realistic for most. being lost is so much more normal than we think. and i just wish people would be more transparent about it.

Be a private person, but live open-mindedly. Learn the balance of knowing when to keep things private and when to share things out to the world. Protect your ideas, your circle and your peace. Open up your heart, your kindness and your selflessness. Putting these boundaries between yourself and the rest of the world is one of the most respectful and honorable things you can do for yourself.

I love this post. This is why I started taking all of the names I get called as a women for having standards as a compliment! Call me shallow and a gold-digger all day. All I hear is that I’m not settling for less than I deserve🤷‍♀️

The worst part about having mental health issues is that you’re seemingly required to have a breakdown in order for people to understand how hard you were trying to hold yourself together.
