you know if i was volunteering at a rape shelter and a woman said i made her uncomfortable i would leave. i wouldn’t ask questions, i would simply not bother her. i would leave if i was making a vulnerable woman uncomfortable, even if she was was being racist. women know what it’s like to feel unsafe, they would never wish that on any other woman. if transwomen were really women they would not be demanding access to safe spaces. in my experience, real women go out of their way to make other women feel safe.

This is one of the things where you can clearly see the difference in socialization. If I make someone uncomfortable I go out of my way to appologise, let them know I did not mean it like that while still acknowledging that intent is not the same as how the other perceives it and that is usually on me and my fault to fix (unless they twist your words to make you sound hateful ofc, oh like the tra does), and remove myself from the situation. To this day I still need to come across a man that does this. They always scream or yell how I should have magically known the right intention, that they are not dangerous, etc. They do not care about your feelings or safety only about their own feelings and being validated

and she died in 2014, so after this started. and there is nothing in the historical accounts of this event (and some participants are still living) that supports the fictional version. none the recent interviews given by survivors at all mention or characterize the events of stonewall the way the popular myth did. someone just straight up made it up. and why?
