some A+ advice from our cowboy father
The way they don't process how the immediate influx of cash can, if used right, lead to getting the book, or having the credit score, or even having an actual meeting with a celebrity (since he's also a businessman) is always gonna stab my brain the wrong way
Capitalism is a hell of a drug.
You're not "built different" because you think "hustling" for every measley little dollar is better than having a life where you can actually do what you want without fear of starvation, you've been brainwashed.

Ok STOP cleaning your petâs wounds with hydrogen peroxide! Hydrogen peroxide delays healing. ffs just call your vet if your animal is injured
This also applies to great apes such as, for example, humans. Stop using hydrogen peroxide on wounds unless you hear otherwise from a doctor.
Yeah hi doctor here
Always default to saline solution. Literally always.
The equine surgeon at my vet school had a saying:
If you wouldnât put it in your eye, donât put it in a wound
And that should always be your approach unless you have specific advice from the appropriate medical professional to do otherwise
Hydrogen peroxide really isnât commonly used here (other than for getting blood out of clothes or drapes or whatever) so whenever I see it plastered over every social media account as the go to way to clean pet wounds, it makes me really antsy.
Also, that must hurt SO much?

President Trumpâs disastrous pandemic response made a terrible year so much worse.
What went wrong; can you spell tRUMP?
Sickening to read of this administrationâs failures and then realize what weâve lost due to their absolute incompetence.

some thoughts on transition & processing đ (p.s. please stay home for the holidays!)
one of the clearest and most disturbing examples on the dangers of late-stage capitalism and how billion dollar companies are willing to put the lives of innocent people at risk for financial gain is the crashes of lion air flight 610Â (killing 180 people) and ethiopian airlines flight 302Â (killing 157 people) and Boeingâs involvement in itÂ
so basically what happened is that the manufacturer Airbus (HUGE Boeing rival) came out with this brand new plane in 2010 called the A320neo which had a larger engine and fuel efficient and was basically going to make Airbus aloooot of money. Boeing, of course, didnât like this and scrambled together to come out with their own updated plane called the 737 max. the only problem isâŚâŚ.. this new plane design was rushed into production (to keep up with Airbusâs new plane) and had some serious design flaws.
first, the engine on the 737 max was too close to the ground so they moved it higher towards the windows which is just fine and dandy except it would cause the plane to point too far up during take off and cause a stall aka start falling out of the sky. so instead of taking the time to re-engineer the new plane Boeing decided to cut some corners instead (money money money) and add a software system called the MCAS which automatically forces the nose down if the plane begins to stall. this software was extremely faulty however with incorrect readings and was extremely dangerous because it could control of the entire plane and make it go nose down without the pilotâs awareness. and since Boeing also didnt want to spend the money on re-training the pilots they elected not to tell pilots about this new system at all. so can you imagine being a pilot flying a plane that suddenly starts to fucking dive bomb out of nowhere?? because thatâs what happened in these two crashes - after take off the plane would receive faulty data and begin to dive towards the ground. the pilots had no clue that this software even existed and was controlling the plane. and since the pilots had no idea what was happening or how to fix it, this software caused them to ultimately crash and kill themselves and all passengers on board
watch these videos for more info and always check what kind of aircraft youâre flying on in the future
exactly. and the reason that this huge design and software flaw was able to go under the radar is that Boeing and the FAA have an extremely close relationship ($$$) and the FAA actually allowed Boeing to do its own certification check which is extremely unethical when youâre dealing with the safety of millions and millions of lives. it makes you wonder what else slips through the cracksÂ
As of November 18th 2020 the FAA has officially lifted its grounding order of the Boeing 737 Max and it will resume commercial flights
PLEASE ALWAYS TRY AND BE AWARE OF THE AIRCRAFT YOU WILL BE FLYING ONÂ

That thing about how cats think humans are big kittens is a myth, yâknow.
Itâs basically born of false assumptions; folks were trying to explain how a naturally solitary animal could form such complex social bonds with humans, and the explanation they settled on is âitâs a displaced parent/child bondâ.
The trouble is, cats arenât naturally solitary. We just assumed they were based on observations of European wildcats - but housecats arenât descended from European wildcats. Theyâre descended from African wildcats, which are known to hunt in bonded pairs and family groupings, and that social tendency is even stronger in their domesticated relatives. The natural social unit of the housecat is a colony: a loose affiliation of cats centred around a shared territory held by alliance of dominant females, who raise all of the colonyâs kittens communally.
Itâs often remarked that dogs understand that humans are different, while cats just think humans are big, clumsy cats, and thatâs totally true - but they regard us as adult colonymates, not as kittens, and all of their social behaviour toward us makes a lot more sense through that lens.
They like to cuddle because communal grooming is how cats bond with colonymates - it establishes a shared scent-identity for the colony and helps clean spots that they canât easily reach on their own.
They bring us dead animals because cats transport surplus kills back to the colonyâs shared territory for consumption by pregnant, nursing, or sick colonymates who canât easily hunt on their own. Indeed, thatâs why they kill so much more than they individually need - itâs not for fun, but to generate enough surplus kills to sustain the colonyâs non-hunting members.
Theyâre okay with us messing with their kittens because communal parenting is the norm in a colony setting, and us being colonymates in their minds automatically makes us co-parents.
Itâs even why many cats are so much more tolerant toward very small children, as long as those children are related to one of their regular humans: they can tell the difference between human adults and human âkittensâ, and your kittens are their kittens.
Basically, youâre going to have a much easier time getting a handle on why your cat does why your cat does if you remember that the natural mode of social organisation for cats is not as isolated solitary hunters, but as a big communal catpile - and for that purpose, you count as a cat.
This makes sense to me.

Human doctors and surgeons can be the worst when it comes to vet med. The owner of the snake in question has a hatchling amel corn snake. If you hold those up to the light you can see many of their organs, including the heart and liver. The owner saw this dark patch and was worried their snake had an intestinal blockage. They did not go to a vet.
The individual in the screen cap provided the name of a medication and a dosage. This medication is most commonly used for constipation issues. They clearly do not know snake anatomy. Them attempting to backtrack and subsequently imply a snake they've only ever seen a video of is in liver failure just makes them more absurd.
I would say that 95% of the human doctors I've had to deal with in a vetmed type setting have been utterly infuriating to work with.
I lodged an official complaint with the Florida State Veterinary Board and am currently in contact with the hospital he works at.
Hospital reports that he is no longer a member of their staff and has not been for several years, so thatâs just one more mark against this person.
WOW.
