The kind of story I'd wanna read/ watch would be about the unofficial "Christmas Truce" in 1914 during WWI, where the main character becomes close with one of the opposing soldiers whilst playing soccer and then soon after has to kill their friend (or wrong time right person lover :3) and survive the war, living with that guilt until they die. The potential storylines would be great; are they a young person who snuck in for glory and now has to fight in the second war with the treacherous memories of the first? Do they survive the next one? Are they middle age and live to be old with their lost friend (or lover) haunting them or do they kill themselves before that time? Do they meet in the afterlife? Are they destined to be apart forever? Maybe even a modern timeskip where they meet again and feel a bond between them that surpasses time would be nice...
