the apotheosis is upon us!

i’ve never thought of it before… but when emma offers zoey a ride after their shift, zoey responds with “in your shitty car? i’d rather not crash and die, thanks.” which… is exactly what happened to jane. emma’s sister died in a car crash. and here’s zoey, implying that riding with emma would get her killed. oh god

I thought that the other day. Like I don't know if Zoey knew what happened to Jane, but I imagine she probably did and still said it

i actually think she didn’t know. i’d imagine emma, as closed off and prickly as she is, would not have shared that story with anyone before paul, or at least not with a coworker she hates. sure, zoey could’ve read about the accident in the paper or something, but probably wouldn’t have connected it to emma, especially if jane went by tom’s last name by then (and would zoey even care to remember those details about strangers in the paper?). zoey’s just rude and happened to hit close to home with that one.

do you think emma regretted telling paul to destroy the meteor? do you think she regretted not telling him to stay with her until they could be rescued? do you think she blamed herself, for the end of all of humanity but especially paul’s death?
