i just love the fact that mariah and angela were such big fans and supporters of each other since black friday (as angela essentially took over the role that was promised to mariah before she got cast in mean girls and mariah hyped her up so much as lex) and always fangirled over each other on social media, and then the show they finally get to do together is nerdy prudes, where their dynamic is steph and grace. it’s just so funny if you, like me, watched their online rapport before then. they always said they were waiting to be in a show together and hyped each other up, saying the other is their girl and love of their life, and then when we finally see them on stage together it’s steph “don’t comfort her, she’s weird” lauter and grace “leave room for jesus” chasity. amazing.

i viscerally hate how mr. chasity calls mrs. chasity “mother.” it doesn’t feel cutesy, it’s giving more norman bates than anything. christians, man…

maybe i’ve watched too many slime tutorials but i kind of wish starkid would leave more of the audience reactions in the proshots. i realize some of the footage has been filmed without an audience and audio overall is intricate with productions like these… but i just get such a kick out of the audience gasping, laughing and applauding at the jokes and twists on stage!

the way steph, who’s the mayor of hatchetfield’s daughter and the most popular girl in school, says she’d rather starve to death than go to sycamore high school. where paul went.

it’s wild but out of everyone in npmd (aside from lautski, obviously) max and ruth would probably make the best couple. the parallel porn line? max actually complimenting ruth’s acting, which she loves but can’t do on an actual stage? the seeds are there.

mariah’s delivery of “so you don’t want to be bullied? then why do you come to public school in suspenders and a fucking bow tie?” is still one of the funniest pieces of dialogue in npmd

it’s friday and i’ve had a weird day so i’m going to do one of my favorite me-time activities, aka have some wine and watch a starkid show. most likely nerdy prudes because for some reason every time i get a glass of wine in my hand my brain goes “i should watch nerdy prudes must die” (i think i’ve basically pavloved myself at this point). and probably tgwdlmr after that (also pavloved myself to watch tgwdlm after nerdy prudes).
