At age eighteen, Remus Lupin cut off his best friend, Sirius Black, and tried to move on from the heart-crushing unrequited love he’d held for him since they were eleven. Three years later, he pretends that he’s moved on, but that illusion shatters like his heart three years ago when Sirius worms his way back into Remus’s life.

He can’t bring himself to regret letting Sirius back in, though, when they finally, finally get together, making all of the pining and heartache worth it. Suddenly, his days of fighting against the desires of his heart, of feeling its battered ache with every beat, are over. He has Sirius for good now.

Unless “for good” turns out to be a mere few months. Unless it turns out that Remus isn’t the only one keeping a big secret.
