I see your Sam Wilson and raise you Bucky Barnes
Now why in the hell would you add this bullshit to my post? I’m centering a Black character who has been disrespected by the franchise he should currently be leading and its blatantly anti-Black fanbase, and here you come talking about some Bucky fucking Barnes??? Oh my God, talk about tone deaf.
Smh anytime someone wants to pay Sam a lick of attention, a Bucky stan has to pop up yapping about a character who, quite frankly, got more attention and screen time than he should’ve from jump. Jfc the MCU fandom is never beating the allegations.
white people ignore the impulse to insert a white character any time we are talking about Black characters, challenge level: impossible
Fucking insane behavior. This why we hate to see a stankass sticky and/or bucky stan coming.
Y'all are ignorant beyond beliefe and it's sad how hard to differentiate between sincere stupidity or instigating stupidity. But the stupidity is present regardless, gotdayum.
It's 2026 and St**ky shippers are still coming into Sam's tags to post content about that ship. It's beyond time to give this behavior a rest. You don't need to talk about Sam or any ship with him and either of them. Please just continue to ship St**ky, and leave Sam out of it. All of those relationships are fanon. None of them are more "real" than the other. No Sam fan wants to read about how you think Sam's relationships with them, even just friendships, is "lesser" in some way. These relationships just happened at different points. We certainly don't want to read about how Steve and Bucky see Sam as a "replacement," and how limited you write Sam in your headcanons. He's a "therapist" because of a support group from years ago, but Steve isn't seen as one for running a support group. Even the so-called Sam "fans," and the so-called multishippers do this.
Also, there are some of those shippers who come into his tags to vilify Sam in one way or another. I remember those "what if Sam was secretly Hydra" posts back when he first appeared. He in no way "forced" a meeting with Steve. Steve is the one who started the relationship between them. He has not been ableist, a bully, or abusive to Buck at all. Also, Sam and Bucky have a relationship outside of Steve. Yes, he's their mutual friend, but they formed a relationship beyond that. It's weird seeing claims they are only co-workers, they have only know each other a few months, or have only being friends a few months. None of that is true.
Anyways, you aren't "oppressed" for shipping St**ky, and some of you need to take your own advice and stay in your own tags/use anti tags and censor the names/ships on Twitter. Go enjoy content for that ship, and leave Sam alone.
I know this has been discussed plenty, but I saw these comments earlier, so it's still a topic, but how exactly did Sam treat Walker like shit?
Sure Bucky was very upfront with his dislike of Walker, and even recently still doesn't like him, but what did Sam do besides decline to work with Walker? What exactly did Sam do or say that equals treating Walker like shit? As I recall, Sam tried multiple times to de-escalate, and we saw Walker escalate situations. In their first sit down talk, we found out that Walker and Lemar hacked Redwing, and that's how they found Sam and Bucky. Despite that, and despite the fact that they had no new information to add, Sam still shared what he knew so far. Walker, at the end of their conversation, hits Sam with that "wingman" bit which folks like to ignore for what it is. Sam even says, "it's always that last line." During the rest of the show, Sam is as cordial as possible even though Walker isn't. He tries to pick a fight with Sam after his role in messing up the talk with Karli. Even after Walker wrongfully killed Nico, Sam tries to reason with him, but Walker escalates that situation too. At no point during that fight were Sam or Bucky trying to kill him, but Walker does attempt to kill Sam. Again, what did Sam do or say that equals treating Walker like shit?
Let me also add that Sam tried to stop Walker from getting into it with the Dora, but Walker didn't listen, and he got what he got. In the warehouse, Sam says "this isn't you, John," and "you made a mistake." Sam tried to prevent situations from escalating, and even suggested that maybe Walker could savage some part of his reputation if he would stand down, but that doesn't happen. Although, he does get a light punishment overall. Again, where did Sam treat Walker like shit?

incredibly sorry for the black writers and directors of the previous two seasons who thought they were building something. I am so sorry that your work was not respected and now dismissed by this new season. I am so sorry that the love and care with which you crafted the characters, especially of Louis and Claudia was so resented that the current writers' room chose to dilute all. I am so sorry that you are having to see the anti blackness in full force on a formerly black led show and everything you worked on- your vision- it was all wiped off. I am so sorry to Jacob and Delainey for having to work with those scripts.

one big thing i think people outside fandom (like, all fandoms, fandom in general, not any particular one) tend to misunderstand is they know it's a subculture of people who are weirdly deeply invested in fictional media, and they hear about drama caused by people in those subcultures being unhinged in not-fun ways, and they think the unhingedness comes from the fact of being overinvested in works of fiction.
which is a natural assumption, but in my experience that's not really the case? like in my experience the drama llamas in fandom are usually not the ones who are just genuinely very deeply into the fiction. i've known people who are basically thinking about star trek or x-men comics or supernatural pretty much 100% of their free time and ime that type of person is usually very nice and surprisingly functional in their regular life. when someone's a constant nexus of fandom drama it's usually not that they are obsessed with the actual work of fiction the fandom is about, it's at least one of the following:
what they're obsessed with is not the source material but their unhealthy parasocial relationships with one or more of the people who created it
what they're obsessed with is not the source material but some elaborate shared-universe subset of fanfic about it that's only barely related to the original at this point, and/or an esoteric reading-against-the-text reinterpretation of the source material (often if the canon is active and ongoing this leads to becoming actively hostile toward it for its inevitably increasing failure to conform to their preferred fanon)
what they're obsessed with is not the source material but the fandom itself and gathering clout within it, so that the source material basically only exists to them as a tool for scoring points in increasingly arcane fandom disputes
and very often you get the same person doing 2 and sometimes even all 3 of these, and that's where the trouble really starts
