the fact that crais is one of the only characters of colour on farscape is first of all abysmal i mean there is no excuse for that and i think fans let it slide far too much but also. metatextually the fact that he was press-ganged into the peacekeepers, a fascist military that believes in racial purity, never to see his parents again, surrounded by (white) pks who were born into that machine. and when he sacrifices himself destroying their ship one of the last things he does is point out the fact that scorpius volunteered... i'm going to be thinking about him for the rest of my life
