Mixed pairings in Star Fox are rare so far, but I’m fond of them. We’ve never seen a kid from them either unless I’m forgetting someone. I think they might be like Bojack, where the kid is either one or the other species in appearance, or like you said, hybrids. Tell us how those work, Nintendo! I picture all of them as Lylatian: just a race of aliens that happen to look like animal-people (Even the reptilians, considering how Itoh gave them lizard-tiddies  mammal features. And… Beltino and Grippy have facial hair? Whut…).

I think making Fara’s surprising partner-in-rebellion and love interest die tragically would be a cheap shot at melodrama that I never want to take. NO! Frankie lives. He’s going to be fine. He’s really important as a plot device alongside Fara later on.

… Though perhaps we can still experiment with that heavy concept as part of a Really Bad Ending to Fara’s Arc. I still don’t like it though, truth be told. What was past me thinking?!

I had other extremely intense ideas for the Fara’s Arc ending that I didn’t ever post or follow through on because I think they were too much in retrospect. I may reveal some old ideas eventually. Some were really in-line with the SNES’s dark and gritty tone, but I think I was pushing it even farther than that in ways I don’t actually want to work with now. You’ll notice that I change and embellish on certain things about the old 2020 plot in my new 2026 version.
