Search For Sugar In A Small Town

I want to share an observation. I couldn't sleep and ended up running into some threads of conversation between SDs & SBs, most of them asking for advice on a variety of things. A lot of men that fully consider themselves to be sugar daddies who describe long term "sugar relationships" are actually describing vanilla relationships in which they adequately provided for their girlfriend. I'm sure these girlfriends actually thought they were having a sugar baby experience. This struck me as so strange. I asked myself why they do it when there's such an obvious difference, and came up with a few reasons. 1) They don't think women deserve to be provided for in a vanilla relationship, and want to glorify themselves for doing what should be expected of them. 2) They're insecure and want to feel better about dating girls who are out of their league. 3) The "sugar daddy" term gives them a feeling of power over the girl they're dating, and makes them feel justified about being more controlling and expecting sex more often. 4) They want to manipulate girls who haven't been treated well in the past or come from rough backgrounds, convincing them that they have to be in "sugar" relationships to be provided for - making them feel stuck and causing them to be less likely to leave. I wanted to share these thoughts because the last 2 seem more likely, and they both scare me. If a man is providing for you in a way any good vanilla man would, but he's calling himself your sugar daddy, he might be a manipulator or cause you to lower your expectations for vanilla relationships in a way that could hurt you later in life. It's kind of maddening to me how this fucks up the entire concept of "sugar". It muddies the terminology we use and causes a sense of hopelessness when looking for men who are actually wealthy and fit the true definition of a sugar daddy.
