I had randomly generated 2 words, which is where “mole interest” came from. I failed to consider that by generating a new tag, it wouldn’t have had enough posts already in it to prove what I now call “the mole interest effect”.

But now it does.

In 2023, we said “fuck it” a la mythbusters and ended up doing whatever it took to get #mole interest to trend. And it did. And it happened to be September 11th that day, and we managed to get #mole interest to trend ABOVE #9/11.

like coming from the person with a neurodivergent-grade hyperfixation on the history of the national mall and the infrastructure of Washington DC they are playing with MONUMENTAL levels of hubris here and that’s not just a pun. they constructed the main parade stage on top of a stretch of road that covers the mouth of a still-present creek that flows underneath that part of town and plan to drive MILITARY GRADE EQUIPMENT on top of it after days of intense heat and humidity followed by potential flood-causing rain tonight and tomorrow

like it’s so clear to me that all of these actors are just grown up theater kids (affectionate) and i’m just trying to imagine how god damn hilarious it was for ari to have to act like they were absolutely baffled by everything they’ve been surrounded by (presumably) a good chunk of their life. and nim had to be so god damn serious about a high school play and i just can’t. imagine being at your job and having to act like that person from high school.
