You wake up at a beach you don't recognize. There is nobody around. Your phone is broken.

You hear a boom in the distance. When you look closely, you can faintly see a small explosion.

Minutes pass. Suddenly, you see the Trinyvale triplets emerging from the smoke. They approach you, offering you a pile of riches to keep quiet about what you saw. However, they say they would need to 'gently kidnap you' by staying in their sights for the next 24 hours to ensure you do remain quiet. You get the sense they are gearing up for an adventure of some sort later today.

Before you can answer, the Bon Freres come over. They casually mention they are on the case of who exploded a warehouse of data. They also invite you to their Beach Bash Bonfire Bonanza tonight, which they promise will be a wild party. They also invite you to join them for dinner while they wait for sundown to set up for the party. Also, Hungry Dave is blatantly into you. He says if you need somewhere to sleep, they have a place.

Mac and Jens rapidly begin to feud. They are at each other's throats. There is no way they are going to be at the same party.

Just then, Sol appears out of a portal. He says he can return you home and provide answers.

Denny Pebblepot has been trying to woo you for years. He has sent you countless gifts. You still say no.

One day, you find Denny slaughtered outside your house, a bouquet of roses in his hands.

You look in the distance. An adult resembling Peppermint Patty is holding a machete with an expression that says "you're welcome."

You decide to pretend you've seen nothing. Eventually, Denny's corpse is found and removed by authorities.

Days later, there is a knock at the door. It is a representative of the Pebblepot family. They hand you a letter personally inviting you to Denny's private wake. In the letter, one thing becomes clear: this whole time, Denny has been telling his family the two of you were together. In fact, they state you are still family, even though your "engagement" was cut tragically short.

You go to the wake, where you are treated like royalty. They give you gifts, cash, and all kinds of (frankly tonedeaf) tokens. It is clear they think of you as one of your own.

There is a knock at the door. The police accuse you of paying a hitman to kill Denny. They got a tip that someone arranged for him to be killed a few days before the incident. There is a hitman in custody who swears you commissioned him. The Pebblepots insist this is not possible, going far enough to lie about your whereabouts that day.

Out of respect for the wake, and intimidation by the Pebblepots, they do not take you in for questioning, but order you to go to the police station first thing in the morning.

You have a bed made for you at the Pebblepot residence. As you drift off to sleep, Peppermint Patty breaks in to the room. She says she can be your getaway car.

The thing is, you have a pretty good thing going with the Pebblepots, and Denny kind of owes you for all the shit he put you through. You also had sizzling hot chemistry with a Pepperpot cousin who seemed shockingly normal.

Also, the hit man who is blackmailing you is almost certainly Grimace, your nemesis, who has deep ties with every criminal organization known to man.

You recieve an invitation to the Beverlin wedding.

However, the night after you get it in your mailbox, you have a vivid dream. The dream prophesizes that Galad, Thiala, and Pendergreens will invade the wedding. The three of them are back, stronger than ever, have formed an alliance and are dead set on creating chaos. In your dream, there are no survivors.

You tell Erlin about this dream. He is kind of weirded out that you would tell him such a thing. He says it's just a dream. Later, he uninvites you to the wedding for "making jokes in bad taste" and "drudging up past traumas."

Coincidentally, you happen to be neighbors with the #PartyApe, who is working the event. You mention that you were invited, omitting the fact you are no longer welcome. He offers to carpool with you on the day of the event, guaranteeing you entry.

To make matters more complicated, the Trinyvale Triplets later invite you to a 90s prom-themed party they are throwing the same day. The Triplets made every effort to make sure the night would be full of decadence and debauchery.
